What about now? It may have come while you were typing!
i bet no one’s ever been so excited to see their spam folder go +1
ok, seem i still not yet have my cake for zbrush 4r2, it’s possible that i didn’t get an email annoncing that i will soon get that cake ?
Got mine, downloading now.
I’m in the UK, and have had ZB for about 2 years (definately random)
the last email I recieved from pixologic was “Sculptris download for windows” Im not sure I got the “are you ready for r2” email because I doubt I would have deleted it.
it should read like this
Dear scott,
We are thrilled to be so close to the next major update for ZBrush: ZBrush 4R2!
ZBrush 4R2 is packed with new and exciting features, additions and changes designed to fit your needs and the way you work. While the release itself is still a few days away, we wanted to help you prepare now by providing the following info to explain exactly how the upgrade will be done.
Here are 3 sneak-peek videos about some of the exciting features you will find in R2:
Step 1: Receiving Your Upgrade Email
Beginning September 20, Cleverbridge will begin sending emails with your download link and serial number. This email will be sent to everyone who has purchased ZBrush 4 or upgraded to it from an earlier version.
Please save that email for your future records! You will need your serial number should you ever have to reinstall or reactivate ZBrush 4R2.
Due to the large volume of emails to be sent out, it may take up to a week for your email to be received. Please be patient. You can contact Pixologic or Cleverbridge after September 27th if you have not yet received your email notification.
Step 2: Installation
Note: Do not deactivate ZBrush 4 or uninstall it prior to installing the upgrade!
The download link in your upgrade email will deliver the ZBrush 4R2 installer.
After downloading, double-click the installer to launch it. The installer will guide you through the installation options. The “Complete” installation option is recommended. This installs ZBrush in the default location and with all included plugins and documentation.
Note: Should you wish to make changes to the default options (such as specifying a different installation location) you may choose the “Custom” install option.
Step 3: Activation
Upon first launching ZBrush 4R2 it will need to be activated. It is not necessary to deactivate or remove ZBrush 4 before installing version 4R2.
If your computer is connected to the internet, choose Web Activation. PLEASE ONLY CHOOSE PHONE ACTIVATION IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET.
Your web browser will open to a page asking for your serial number, email address and a computer description. Submitting this info will create your activation code, which you then copy and paste into ZBrush to complete your activation.
If ZBrush 4 is already activated on this computer you will see a message confirming this. In that case, click the button to “request a copy of your activation key”. This will create a new activation code without counting this computer as a new machine.
Note: If you receive a message that you are out of activations, click the button to “View Activation History”. This will list the computers currently counting against your serial number so that you can request removal of any copies you no longer have access to. Please allow a few hours for processing. An email will be sent to you once complete and you may then restart your Web Activation.
Note: If your computer is not connected to the internet and you must do a phone activation you will still need the serial number from your upgrade email. Please have it ready before calling. Be aware that wait times will be unusually long during the first week or two after ZBrush 4R2 is released.
Step 4: Using the New Features
By default, your ZBrush 4R2 installation includes a Documentation folder. Within this folder you will find PDF’s covering the new features in ZBrush 4R2 as well as everything that was introduced in version 4.
Following the release of ZBrush 4R2 we will also be updating the Education section of www.pixologic.com to include videos demonstrating the new features.
Thank You!
On behalf of the entire Pixologic Team, we would like to thank you for being valued members of our community. It is the enthusiasm and support of our users that drives us to constantly push the limits of computer art and even redefine what digital modeling is.
We are excited to be able to provide ZBrush 4R2 to you as a free upgrade. Be sure to post your creations at ZBrushCentral!
Sincerely,
The Pixologic Team
same for me, i was wondering if i did happen to delete it ?
myemail is allaze-eroler#orange°fr
I never got the “prepare for Zbrush 4r2” email either but i did get the sculptris one, hmm – I’m worried
@moose lol thanks, yep I never got that at my zbrush email address. hmm
Hmm, indeed I also never received that email.
lol, it’s great reading this thread, I still have no email and was quietly reading waiting…then the tiny seed of doubt starts to grow ‘did I change my email?’ Did I get the old update?..lol Just did a ‘Cleverbridge’ search in my emails and thankfully I did get the last two updates…phew, ok now where was I…*presses F5…bugger
well read mine. you may have to wait until the 27th to fix it if step 1 is any indication. go into your account and verify your current email address is your PRIMARY email address. i recall you can have alt’s on pixologic. delete any old ones.
but i have my doubts that any new email addresses will be part of the randomisation. you’ll probably get thrown on the end of the line. or you might just get sent the link straight away. good luck either way
[F5] nope, still no email
When I bought Zbrush – I did get the activation/download from cleverbridge to my current email. I hope they didn’t just lose it.
Great. Now I’m really panicking. I haven’t gotten any of those other emails you guys are talking about, and I had to change my email with Pixo support a couple months ago, as the previous one is now defunct and inaccessible.
Sounds like I’m hosed.
I did not get the “get ready for ZBR2” email either though I did get the Sculptris one. I just hope I don’t have to wait til the 27th and then have to jump through a bunch hoops with Cleverbridge to get the update. We may be stressing for nothing ( I hope that’s the case). I don’t think I can take 5 more days of this.
i didn’t get the sculptris one…but i’d hazard thats due to me opting out of newsletter style spam from this site. i dont like sculptris much but if the paint options are better than zbrush’s and use actual mapped pixels rather than coloured polygons it may have a revival on my pc.
@ Spyndel - i’m sure it’ll all be fine mate
well im through waiting, off for some kip and not even a chance to check first thing in the morning here’s hoping for a nice evening gift from Pixo tomorrow. Happy waiting guys, time for the nightshift to take over.
Actually the only email I got about sculptris was a
“Take your art to the next level” email. Is that the one you guys are talking about?
Same here. No emails for R2 but I do have the Sculptris email. I’m certain I didn’t opt out of any emails from Pixologic. It does make one worry. Maybe they play favorites
Its HEEEEEeeeeeeerrrrreee!
Wow! I mean…WOW!
Thank you Matt, Paul, Ofer and the entire Pixologic Team!
