Why is there like a total lack of people talking about r2 on the forums. I haven’t seen any first impressions or any “YAY I GOT MINE!” posts in this thread.

waiting patiently. but you know what was bad? when the server was busy earlier I clicked on the buy zbrush link for whatever reason and I see it says “Download zbrush 4 R2 now! $699”
I am not sure what it is about that was off putting maybe I will just laugh. ya thats what I will do 
Is it catering to the brand new users while the long time users the community waits. Im just putting this together in my mind as I type it. at least its free what do I expect for nothing!
Why do you find it strange that a business would obviously cater to new money coming in? How would you feel if you wanted to buy a new downloadable product, fork down money, and be put on hold for a week to get it? This is a product we’ve had forever, that we get free updates for. You have to be able to see a clear distinction there.
If you want to be taken care of immediately, the option to by a new copy of the program is available to you as well. It’s not like you don’t have the same access.
If it makes you feel better, just think of it as those new purchases are helping to pay for and develop your free update.
yah agreed. I havent funded the cause in over a year. sombody else said maybe they should have said a release on the 27th and surprise us all would have been better and I tend to agree with that as well.

I dont advocate that a business play games. Being up front and keeping your customers informed is the only way to go about things. Either way, people are going to be unhappy when they find out other people have the program, and they dont. The difference is, in that case, the company is being deliberately coy or even dodgy about making it happen, and we know how the public responds to that sort of thing. The coverup is always worse.
One way or another some people are going to be disappointed. Better to be up front and informed about the situation, so we can deal with it like adults. I prefer to be treated like an adult, even if the situation makes me want to behave like a child.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to continue sharpening this pointed stick, and making a tribal necklace out of soda caps for when I go completely feral by the end of the week with no R2.

It’s always the worst when the doubts about the validity of your email address start creeping in, and you know you cant do anything about it until next week.
I actually had to change my email address with Pixo support over the past few months, so I’ve fertile soil for doubt there.
