***** ZBrush 4.0 Unleashed!

Got my Zbrush 4 (mac) up and running.
Mmm mmm good.

Lightbox, awesome.
Zprojects, cherry.
Solo button, sweet.
all the new options in the tools menu, crazy.
clipping brushes, TIGHT.
topological masking, nice!

with a few UI customizations Zbrush is rockin.
It’s going to be a great year.

Thanks Pix

Eventually I have it… but another issue, activation won’t accept my old email or my new one either…

WARNING - never change you email address…

Finally up and running, but enough time to play around… looks good…

Thanks all you guys at Pixologic and excuse all my whining over the last month, just kept you on the edges of your seats so that you could finish, take a rest now, but not for to long as we know you already have more up your sleeves…

Regards Ziggy

30min doodle and it runs very smooth, I just pick up a spark here and there, WACOM seems to throw a straight line of sculpting across the model, didn’t get this in ZB3.5 but also get it in Painter, therefore I think it’s my WACOM Tablet… but now only in these two programs…?

I get the straight line problem too. But it doesn’t happen when I zoom out a bit.

Uploaded and That’s It!
I’m crazy about all the new features, new clipping brushes are a little bit difficult to use, but I will try and try again. Many Thanks for your big help for artists.

I don’t know if this has been posted yet, but I’m running into a problem using goZ>Max.

Instead of goZ flipping the normal map it exports vertically, it flips the UVs vertically instead, thereby causing the green channel of the normal map to invert. This creates unnecessary complications on the 3ds max end of things. Why not just flip the map?

Also, when I instead just exported the obj manually, old school style, the UVs were waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off scale. Unless there’s some slick new scale UVs button, I’m pretty sure I’me doing things correctly, so I guess this constitutes a bug report.

Questions and Troubleshooting should be posted in Questions & Troubleshooting Forums

Thanks.

Playing around with the weave brushes. A quick and fun way to create a little facial hair.

must say as a long time user and fan of zbrush I am very happy with the latest release.
I have n’t really delved in to the extra features just yet, but the core sculpting is great for me now

Spotlight is awesome!

Well…at first…I’d like to congratulate you pixologic and say “Happy anniversary”
really I can’t find the right words to thank you for all this amazing features inside ZB4…whatever I say, it will be not enough to what you deserve…thanks lot pixologic for all effort you did and you still do…you are really changing the meaning of CG…brings to life.
just one thing I wanna talk about it…I really wished to see the navigation techniques has been improved…to make it easy “just like Alt key with mouse buttons”…I know pixologic can’t use Alt suck as “Navigation inside Maya” but we could use any key instead of Alt.
anyway…for me really appreciate everything…and i’m so honor to use Zb as my main tool for doing anything I need.
I love you pixologic…thank you all.

You can use a right-click navigation combined with alt or ctrl keys.

I saw a demonstration at Siggraph where one of the artists was using the new topology move tools to push around the topology without altering the surface.

Anyone have an idea what settings need to be adjusted to make that happen?

Zbrush 4 is the release that i wait for. Finally Pixo care about 3d illustrator, sss, better render, better modeling tool (shadowbox), posing tool, all is help a lot for 3d illustrator. This zbrush release is awesome!!!

Zbrush 4 is truely awesome I finally am able to get my hands on it after reading 3d artist and other magazines and I’m blown away by it  Does Zbrush 4 support 64 bit?

Just ordered my copy of Z4!!

Finally after years of using demo versions, now I get the real thing.

Am looking forward to posting the results here and getting to know everyone!

lol… i thought the demo would be valid for only 30 days? not 30 years xD

Just ordered mine as well! I’ve been following zBrush since 1.x, and I’ve always been amazed by it but never had the chance to get it. I’m both excited and nervous, because I know I have a bit of learning to do before I can make real use of this seriously expensive software.
