No 64-bit? Why in the world would you continue to keep Zbrush 32bit? Its at the bleeding edge limits of memory usage already.
The layers are terrible now, and buggy. Press record? This is the most aggravating workflow ever, because I always end up double clicking it right back to off, when I want it on. Sometimes it just gets stuck in ON too.
I have 64 bit i installed it to 64 bit so guess it just installs to programs 64 bit . Its my first time using it.
Thats not you Its Bug. the record button doesn’t properly register clicks.
ZBrush 4.5 or 5 will most likely be 64-bit. Pixologic added a ton to Z4 so I can understand keeping it 32-bit. After they fix all the Z4 bugs they will have time to ZBrush 64 bit.
ZBrush 4 is so over DUDES its all about the epic wait for ZBrush 5 man! 
lol then people will be over 5 and ready for 6 and so on

Will there be a downloadable time expired demo coming soon? I really want to try this before I buy. It looks like a really fun and relatively easy to learn program.
I’m really liking the new stuff but I’m experiencing alot of crashes doing the most mundane things! Simply using a brush will temporarily freeze for a few seconds and zbrush will crash… Just using a brush to sculpt! any help appreciated.
yep, here too…just took the time to post in between crashes. Just like you said, every mundane task is a possible threat, im going mad right now. I was trying to make polygroups from masking, and bam, crash, once and again. Or simply dealing with some initialize settings…you name it.
My specs are i7 950 / 12gb Ram/ windows 7 ultimate 64bits.
In a side note, does auto file recovery works right now with zb4 and win7?
I want to congratulate Zbrush 4 team for this new marvelous peace of software!
Now the brushes are working so smooth comparing with Zbrush 3.5.
The Standard brush is just so smooth and powerful( no blobyness anymore), and the others too!
Please keep them the same for the new releases, do not mess them again, lol.

This is awesome, with every new release, it almost feels like a completely new application with so many new innovative ways of doing things!
Like eraserhead, I too experienced a few crashes, but overall the new stuff is great.
When can we expect R1 patch or something 
I cant live without Brush/cavity mask!
