ZBrush 2 64-bit Windows Version Now Available

TVeyes thanks for your command.

This absolutily not clear for me.

I come on my zbrush forum a few times a year. Now i must have the conclusion i first have to read all mails in detail to discover what is what about.

In big words aurick has published 64 bits, so of course i think it is about the 2.5 version in 64 bits.

Besides that i will still make use off the new download possibility for the old zbrush version in 64 bits.

But the next problem is aurick tells us it will automatically make use off the 32 bits license for authorization.

How can i can not even install and authorize the version zbrush 2.0 on my system with xp 64 and 4 gb ram, so i dont have a license att all, and could not make use off zbrush 2.0 for a long time now, due to switching t a power xp 64 bits system.

I of course will be curious, i send element 5 a mail, but i do not think i will get an answer.

We will see.

Dispite all i think even for this 2.0 64 bits version pixologic should inform their customers by mail for this new availability. First reason : some peolple could not use their registered version 2.0 due to windows xp 64 and more then 4 gb.

It is crazy to force that kind off people to install a second operating system only for zbrush 2.0

THat circumstance only is already a reason they ( pixologic ) should inform their customers about this.

I have another problem. I called e5 Germany 3 times today already (no one replied my e-mail) and still was unable to launch 64-bit version. Neither online nor telephone activation worked.

I e-mailed Pixologic’s support, as e5 technician suggested. I await now for their reply. I have to admit, that using ZBrush can be a little painful for peeps, who like to change hardware/software.

conclusion keleb, the customer is walking from one organization to the other, in an endless loop

I see past months more and more critisism on the behaviour off the zbrush makers.

It’s a pity to see that people makes all effort to make a new version 2.5, but months after months people have been waiting, waiting, waiting.

More and more peolple have made a change from this software. ( a pity )

It is not even yet available, and customers now have to depend for the 64 bits 2.0 on element 5. by calling them. I lost my way ???

My experience is from the past they never answered my email when i had q serious question.

Good news : i just received an email about zbrush 64 bits.

Also here i have a problem.

Subject is :
Pixologic Releases 64-bit Support for ZBrush

Nobody tells us we talk about version 2.0 !!!

Is it just me complaining !!

" FOR ALL REGISTERED OWNERS PIXOLOGIC RELEASES 64 BITS SUPPORT NOW ALREADY FOR ZBRUSH 2.0 AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD", " STILL 2.5 TO COME SOON "

Well, I can’t really complain: Pixology’s support answered the question in mere 2 hrs. However my problem still persists. I am involved now in an e-mail exchange with the support

I can’t wait to launch ZBrush 64-bit sigh

i don’t have it very clear if i can install this version on a new machine and keep the old one running on the other -

AFAIK You can have 2 concurrent installations of ZBrush with one license.

3 days … and still waiting for a answer from element5 about zbrush 64 bits…
And I need it for my school project !!! arghhhh :frowning:

Still awaiting a reply from element 5 regarding the 64bit version myself.

I got the automatic reply saying they got my email but nothing since.

I have checked my account and still no downlaod link.

Cheers

this Is Great News For The Windows-user

err…first we bought zbrush2 almost 2 years ago hearing the update to 2.5 is just around the corner. then i realize i cannot use it on 64 bit systems with more than 2 gig of ram. eons later pixologic releases a 64bit version…but i have to read it on another site - we never received a e-mail. THEN instead of a direct download link I have to go through the hassle getting the new version at element 5. WTF? i’m a paying customer. u guys really lost it…we’re ordering mudboy right now.

and still no zmapper for mac

good to see you care

Still no sign of any movement from element 5 regarding my download.

Are they usually this slow?

Cheers

My question is, will we be able to render displacements, greater than 4096x4096? Same goes to textures.

Thanks

Hi Folks,

the 64 bit Z-Brush runs with my configuration. I have not done anything other than get the program running and will have to start on the tutorials so that I can learn my way around the program. My system is an XP 64 rig running on 2 dual core Xeon 3.20 GHZ CPU’s with 8GB RAM. I’m goingto be a busy boy this weekend.

All the best,

Alan

yipchoy, If you would please do me a very small favor, in ZBrush, click the Preferences tag at the top of the UI. Then click on the performance tab. Click on the, “test Multithreading” button. If you would be so kind as to report your single and Multi Thread numbers, I would love to see them. Thanks Alan.

-Brian

Hi,

here are the figures that you asked for: Single thread=7.578, Multi-thread=4.507999, an increase of 40% in performance.

All the best,

Alan

Thankyou for this update, but im having trouble like many receiving it, I still await a reply to this link.

As 64bit implementation has been put into this current version of Zbrush ,could it mean that v2.5 is maybe thurther away than we may have Anticipated?

I guess we will find out soon enought but just a thought, because as much as a thankfull surprise it is to have this update, the current version wont be in use for long should the new version be soon.

Yeah auto reply sucks…

I have not heard from Element5 for a week. I only had problems with Element5. Probably they are cheap as a fulfillment agent and we get what Pixologic pays for.

I ended up phoning them which is not on really as I dont know how much it cost me to phone Germany. They need to read and reply to their emails. Perhaps they dump all non German language emails into the spam bin.
