ZBrush 2 64-bit Windows Version Now Available

You can get your new version up and running within 30 minutes if you CALL element5.
Helpful people.

Earth, Water, Fire, Air and… uh, waiting or nothing?

Not true in my case.
I called them like 4 times, each time took 10-20 mins and still nothing. Due to no apparent reason ZBrush 64-bit reads my license number wrong, what prevents me from activating it with either method :frowning:
And still no reply from Pixologic Support :frowning:

I cant afford to be ringing Germany or the USA from the UK for 20 min a pop lol. A simple link would have been nice. Il have to wait for the email.

We are aware that many users are having licensing problems. This is something that we’re investigating with Element 5, and hope to have resolved soon. When I know more, I will post the appropriate info here.

Both my rigs, I am experiencing problems on, are based on AMD CPUs. Can it constitute to the problem?

Well it seems like element 5 screwed-up on their pop codes. I have read this entire thread and can only conclude this to be the case. My POP code that they sent me also does not work.

btw. I am running Vista64 with a P4 hyperthread… should anyone cares

PS. Am I the only one who thinks the e-mail that element 5 sent out with the link was really confusing??

I think there is no respect from Pixologic for clients buying there their software legally, in relation to this version 2.0, x64 update procedures.

I am very curious if you follow this procedure also with the upcoming 2.5 release

I wrote by mail to element5 with all the needed information a week ago and no response till now. I did login at element5 and no download-link.

Pixologic :

You can not force people to phone to element5 :

a) you force peolple to make telephone costs
b) some peolple don’t speak foreign language.

Reading to all the posts it is very clear, element 5 does not respond to email.

Why don’t you make any effort to solve this problem.

We are registered users trying to communicate with you about problems relating to your update publications ( procedures ), that seem not working

As i wrote before :

If element 5 has a 100% perfect administration they can automatically update any download-link for registerd pixolog users in their system

Its all information technology that is neede to realize it.

Thanks for the info Alan!

If 2.5 is about to be released anytime soon why bother even making a 64 bit version of 2.0 available…or waste time developing it for that matter
2.5 is supposed to address 64bit support anyway so why not concentrate your resources on it and make that available instead…
C’mon guys lets see some magic!!. or at least give us a valid release date

great…took element 5 3 days to send me the pop-code…and it doesn’t work.
guess i have to find a crack 'til pixology gets its act together

We have been informed by Element 5 that an error on their part is the cause of this situation. Anyone who upgraded to ZBrush 2 from an earlier version or purchased through a reseller should not be affected.

For those of you who purchased ZBrush 2 from our website, we have been told that this problem should be cleared up no later than Thursday morning. It may be done as early as tomorrow.

I will keep you informed here as to the progress. Thank you for your patience!

Does anybody know if it’s a leap year? According to this post we should hear something about 2.5D within the next one or two days?

I think we should here something about Zbrush 2.5 TODAY…
If I understood this one post right…

Let´s hope…

But with Zbrush 2, we still have an amazing tool to work with…

Greetings from Germany!

Benedikt

The dates on the roadmap were updated:

Frans: Stop being such a pain in the ass. Yess it took longer than expected to develop 2.5. Yes I too have license problems with the 64 bits version…

But how many commercial companies do you know who give free upgrades too all v2 users???

So instead of complaining you could make yourself usefull by giving constructive feedback.

Joost

any news on 2.5?? it’s the end of the month, you know? or is it postponed again??

However it took a long time to develop 2.5…

As I said, we have a great tool to work with and I think, most of the members have still to learn a lot in Zbrush 2 (Me for example, I probably only got in touch with 20% Zbrush 2 offers).

And if it takes one more year… Maybe I can figure out all the other cool features in Zbrush2… So

Happy Zbrushing…

Zbrush is an amazing tool!! I do agree, but by watching mudbox, I feel being able to resize your brush without looking for the slider is so much faster. we already know well be able to use layers, paint directly on polygons (how will i export to another 3d app?), no projection master, ok… but I already have that with Mudbox!! we need something else here…
ZBrush has to deliver, let’s hope they do!!

I read several messages in this same post about not being able to get good
customer support from Element5. I bought, or at least I tried, ZBrush past
Feb 23rd. After 23 emails, 11 calls to Ireland (from Spain) I finally requested
to get reimbursed because none was able to activate my copy of ZBrush 64bits.

I am so frustrated that will actually give it another try in a month from now,
when ZBrush 3.0 is about to be launched. Element5 was totally confused about
how to correctly activate my software. They sent me 3 different response
codes to activate my copy manually and of course the initial PoP to activate
it online. Neither one worked. Pixologic gave me a very nice support and you could tell that they were desperate about this situation, since I was not the only one. My frustration was so evident that the forwarded my order to
reinbursement and I should say it was done inmediately.

Too bad. I want to express my deepest frustration because after waiting for
so long for a 64 bits version I have nothing, except for a very long week
checking my email every 2 hours to see if the final correct activation would
finally arrive.
