Superb artwork! impressive detailing and rendering
Jerick - Thanks! I truly appreciate your comment. I just hope this project will help me get a job sooner.
digitalmind - Thank you!
I added a little detail that “completes” the image. All that’s left is re-rendering with better settings, higher resolution.
i love it sincererly
I’m continuing with the astronaut on another scene. I’ll replace the background by a rocky cliff and add a spaceship debris to the side. The idea will be that his ship crashed.
awesome studio render , would you please share the lighting setup and settings…
thanks
Sure rabieart! It’s pretty simple. I have 2 lights. One vraylight set to sphere with a yellow color and another one set to dome with the hdr “SF_Construction”. I tried to search for where I found the hdr but I just don’t remember where…
I’ve started to work on the background.
very interesting to see your constant progression on this, i do not use vray (i prefer to stay on one program in this case zbrush) maybe i’ll learn something from you
thx and keep on posting
LVXIFER - Thanks! Going from zbrush to 3dsmax over and over again can be very time consuming but I’m way more comfortable rendering with vray. If you have any question about my work just ask, I’ll be happy answer!
I added a crashed space ship. I’ll probably its color to something much lighter. I’m also thinking of adding some dark ashes on the sand.
I updated my website with a new demo, come check it out! http://www.oliviercg.com/
edit: Also, I’m looking for work in Montreal!
Excellent work !
Thanks Philuxius!
I worked on the body. I added makeup but that will probably change. I’m thinking of making some sort of knight armor for that character.
hey man! you have very nice models in here, especially the last girl. please take no offense, but she has such a terrible makeup! looks like a cheap hooker now.
maybe you should tweak to a bit lighter lipstick and darker eyeliner? check these examples I found in the web:
and please dont hate me, Im just trying to help! peace! <3
Thanks. No offense taken. You are right, there is too much makeup at the moment.
This being said, you might want to choose different words when commenting one somebody’s project. You could have said “I think there is too much makeup” instead of “she has such a terrible makeup! looks like a cheap hooker”. Do you see the subtle word changes?
The idea with commenting on this forum is to be constructive, not to demolish somebody’s spirit.
Anyways, I understand you didn’t want to offend and you wanted to help, just be more careful next time.
But like I said earlier, I’m thinking of making some kind of knight out of her so the makeup will either be changed or removed completely.
Not sure where I’m going with this but I’m having fun.
I did some metals work.
Really great character! Her face is look very soulful, and cannot wait to see more!
Glad you toned down the makeup, she’s beautiful as she is
