Swimmer Portrait - Part 1

Its good to see something thats is brightly lit. I would like to see water
droplets that have gravity to them and have them bunch together to make
streaks. At the moment it looks like she has stood still throughout the whole
night and she has dew on her. basically, the way you have the water
droplets on this model are more akin to something that has been left out at
night and found in the morning covered with uniform droplets of water. Other
than the water the model is very impressive.

Awesome stuff

WOW! If you don’t mind me asking, how did you get the transparency of the goggles?

Great Work…:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Thanks everybody for the comments and critiques

Intervain, the water setup was quite simple (after a lot of different approaches, hmpf…). I´ve duplicated the mesh of all the objects that have water drops on them, remapped then (usually a planar or cilindrical map, to adjust the density/tiling in relation with the camera) then I applyed the material as shown in the picture above.

And to improve the water render, I´ve added a skylight with low intensity (0,55) and a HDR sky map.
The scene´s main lights are just two areas, one key light and one fill light.

Thanks again,

WOW! AMAZING! :+1:

Congratulations! Great work!

I was thinking about another way to do water drops.

You could simply draw in the drops with a alpha mask over your model. Then extract the drops into its own subtool then export the drops into max and use the mental ray water material. I tried this on a simple sphere and seamed to work pretty decent.

Wow you guys are tearing this up to bits lol

Outstanding!
Amazing Work !!! :sunglasses:small_orange_diamond:+1:

great work,i love the facial detail:+1:

oAwesome work. I admire how you did the mesh cloth pattern on the swimsuit. Are you using a displacment map on that to create the effect that there are holes in the mesh? Or an AO map?

Great work and congratulations on the top row :), thanks for sharing how you did the water droplets on the character I definitely want to give that a try.

the skin is great !!! mental ray ?
but the ears are too small and looking wrong to me.
the water effect is simple but effective… but looks not so good like the skin.
the ZB model itself is okay. did you use any references?

Almost perfect, I would agree with pitchepuck that the ears look rather small. but great job on everything else.

ricardocr

the image is amazing… congrats for that

question: wich shader did u use for the cloth and can u share the shading network for that?

thanks

Outstanding!:+1:

Great great work

Awesome work! Ultra realistic!
