hi , i really enjoyed your you tube tut, thats something ive been wanting to try for ages …
This is my Hansel (of Hansel and Gretel) with his lollipop
He’s fab… it’s going to be a good piece!
He looks good compared to your concept. It will be cool once you get the rest of the gang finished. Keep it up!
back to texturing an old model:
Here’s the texture flats and shader-less look at him so far (minus the gun)

After working on this thing on and off for a LONG time, whew, I’m finally at the end.

this is a nice sculpt and texture job. my only critique would be the posing…he looks off balance to me. i think its because the tail is so beefy, i feel like he would fall backwards. just a small nitpick though…looks good!
This was my first Vespa “The Red Menace”, a 2007 LX150 that got cookie-cuttered by a pickup truck muffler and was replaced with my 2008 LX150: “The Scootchie 3”. A tribute to a fallen friend.
Modeled in Maya, detailed in Zbrush 3.2/3.5

Nice workflow! Detailing hard surfaces can be more fun that way in my opinion. Just depends, but I like how you leveraged the alphas and stencils.
nice and clean!congrats slorpthegillman!thanks for sharing

vespa and floundress turned out great
thanks! I’ll have more turntables up over the next few days. I have 3 more rendering out right now before I’ve got my next reel put together
Thank you for such awesome howtos…on the mask/alpha thing…Really useful!
hey nice work. I really like the 360’s, however I feel they are boring. Great work though don’t get me wrong. The little animation you did with the kid, that was great, I feel if you did some sort of animation for the whole 360 it does not have to be anything big, just a breath up and down with his eyes looking around. Just an idea. Your stuff looks great though! cannot wait to see more.
adio: I agree. Just wish I had more time to cram some of those rigs and animations together. I’ve got 3 new models in the offing that I’ll be doing come spring with full rigs… now those will have full animation cycles attached. But this round around, just poses.
SolidSnake, thanks. I did these as demo/examples for a project I run in one of the classes I teach. Trying to spur students to think of ways to use ZB that they might not otherwise do.
