Thanks for the interest and the wonderful comments, I have every intention of releasing those two sets of MatCaps for download very soon, as I said when I posted the first preview images…
I just wanna play with them first for a while, the vast majority of them have been created and never been used in any of my work… I’ll post a few more images then release them, thats a promise… In fact i’m gonna give a date, I’ll release them next Friday, which is the 16th I believe…
I’m also gonna post a third and final set and the Toy Vinyl Matcaps will be part of that

Well, MatCaps are fast taking over this thread which was meant to be ShadowBox stuff primarily… but what the heck - it’s my thread and I can do what I want ;):evil:
Electron Microscope MatCaps - they work well on non-spherical objects quite nicely with minimal texture distortion…
And a semitranslucent orange vinyl which I quite like :
