TOP ROW… absolutely outstanding contribution to the Zbrush community. I just tried the blue material and my mouth fell open at BPR … You have to try it.

So looking forward to experiencing the others…get them on here now!!!

I myself would love to try these as well. Thanks for show them to us. I still can’t wrap my head around on how to make these.

Hi Peter, thanks for the compliments, its much appreciated, really - but im slightly perplexed as to how you could have tried any of them, since I havent uploaded them yet !!

All ive uploaded are the contact sheets showing previews…

These look awesome. Cant wait to be able to try them out.

Loving this thread. ShadowBox is always something that has confused me. I think I might give it another shot after seeing this!

For VISEone…

Here’s another green plastic, this time lit via IBL (Image Based Lighting)

Its slightly less rough and with multiple reflection sources…

I think these models are great! You have really hit upon something here. I’m pretty sure these shapes are unique. Parts of them remind me of clarinets and other musical instruments. I think if you keep pushing them you will develop a very interesting vocabulary of shapes that might live on an alien planet, or our planet now that you’ve ā€œdiscoveredā€ them.

I would love to see an assortment of screenshots of the walls of your shadowboxes. In any case, keep up the great work.

Inspirational.

Hi Bio-Designer, they all look awesome … thanks for your generosity! I look forward to trying them out! All the best, David

Nice materials! They look nice! You’ve inspired me to look at making matcaps!

niiice, indide)

Oh wow they look great! Huge thank you for working on these for the community, fantastic stuff!
Will keep an eye out

Scroll back a few pages…Im raving about your earlier link…the blue mat and the metal

Hey, your materials seem really cool!

Can’t wait to try them!

Sorry mate, I totally forgot I’d posted those previously, what a dunderhead i am, (mimics pointing a loaded gun to his head…)

ministerart.hotmail.co.uk :

You mentioned a human skin matcap, here are a couple, they are the same matcap essentially only one is slightly lighter than the other as it was lit with a daylight HDRI… I also turned on wax preview to simulate subdermal scattering

They aren’t particularly detailed as you have to be wary of including too much texture detail in a MatCap because of how they are applied to meshes, mapping can look stretched or degraded, so these will probably look better on spherical objects…

They also arent particularly realistic as I havent had much time to work on the glossiness and specularity, but I suppose they could be used for cartoonish characters maybe (VISEone’s recent ā€˜I Hate Mondays’ sculpt comes to mind)

If anyone likes them I’ll post a link…

You got me too, only I went hunting for quite a while looking for a link!
The ones out so far are great huh?

@Bio Designer:
You should make movies, your ability to create suspense is beginning to rival Alfred Hitch****!

[EDIT]: I cannot believe that this silly thing just censored his name.

Cheers!
