DruidĀ®

P.S. Who I get this your 3d effect aminuts (your image in page 1 this topic)?

Abyssis,

instead of loading the tool, and making polymesh…do this exactly…

  1. load the ztl
  2. click edit button (to be on safe side)
  3. export as obj.
  4. turn edit off
  5. clear layer
  6. select polymesh tool…(the star one)
  7. go down to import menu within the tool menu
  8. set merge button on
  9. set weld to .01
  10. set tri2quad to 45
  11. click import button and import the saved obj tool
  12. draw it on the screen
  13. click edit
14 now you can divide without troubles (I hope  )

if that doesn’t work, I hope perhaps Aurick can.

Cool Druid, I am glad you found the problem.

in knot 3d you can make the obj 3d…do that before exporting the obj.

you can also play with the depth settings in knot3d in the 3d section on the bottom right.

I’ll try to post a picture later.

Ok Druid, and anybody wanting to play with this…

The mesh created is ok but unstable when trying to divide so to import it to z2 and get it to work properly follow the directions I gave to Abyssis above from step
6 and you should have no problems messing around with the obj’s.

Hope this helps.

OK dear friend aminuts

My problem now is working in ZB2, I’m a newbie in this software, but I’ll go to learn with the time
Thanks for all attention.

DruidĀ®

Sorry to take up the bottom row tonight guys, if i could control that I would…however trying to help someone.

ok Druid…here are the how to’s in z2…

hope this helps Druid.

Hi Animuts
You have a curious ZB color interface
Are you daltonian
Pilou
Ps Cool tuts :+1:
Maybe you must private Mail Abyssis for don’t miss these super tuts!

Thanx, my dear Frenchie-friend, is not necessary to contact me privat   I read and understand the posts, but: I tried everything possible and my results are UGLY… (in this special case, sure, everything else is fine 4 me)… I really think, my copy of ZB2 is wrong… (Or copy of my old-sklerotic-brain maybe???) The same result I get, if I try make 3D-objects from alphas…

Hi Abyssis
Can you just show what is your 2D draw for the Make 3D Alpha ?
For make a similar try
Maybe it’s a general prob
Pilou

ok, Frenchie, 1.) I will post it later, thank you 4 nice patience :+1: 2.) Wizz this (undocumented) technique (set merge on, set weld to 0.01 and set tri2quad to 45) i got now usable result :+1: :+1: BUT: how did I knew it??? — aminuts GOAL

Yes Frenchy my color scheme is a bit different hehe, I need to change it again as it is getting old.

Cool Abyssis I am glad you at least got the ztl I posted to work ok. I too would like to see the alpha and see if it does the same for me…maybe we can find a way to make it work.

thx, aminuts-fella  How did you found this method? I am not beginer, but… One more time: thank you very muƦh :+1: :+1:

@Pilou: alphaBrush No2 -> make3D -> and this is the strange result

Hi Abyssis
Not for me this time :)(unified or not)
But I have the 1.55b and the Alphas seem are different, here the same alpha has N°"01" for name
Maybe you have a bad regulate by default somewhere?
Pilou

Hi aminuts!
Fine thanks for tuto dear friend, fine fine thanks you are a greater ZB friend
I try your tuto now, after time I will post my results!

DruidĀ®

I think, I go crazy, Pilou   Try number three, ok?

OK 3D Knot in ZB2, finally

This is one test

Thanks aminuts for all,

DruidĀ®

Hi Abyssis
With the tortured Alpha 3 (2 for the 1.55b)
I can’t make the same :qu: (separated stars)
Even with the Mesh Smooth = 1 !
If MS = 0 it’s the cuboid function !
So it’s a little mystery
Pilou

Hi Frenchy Pilou
beautifull HAMBURGUERS, ahahahhahahah
