Samuel's Zbrush Adventure!

@MaxPower81 Thanks a bunch for the pointers man! I’ll try as you said, I have tried looking from as many angles as possible, I guess I have a bit of trouble interpreting the shapes and forms accurately at the moment. will keep practicing and studying as much as I can

E is for ELF (Elegant Eccentric Elf) though I didn’t get that far within 1.5 hours xD will probably take this character further for fun. Retopo’d that faceplane study and used it for a base of this face.

Alphabetical speedy #6 Friednly Female Faun! didn’t really time myself on this piece as I went over a few days. but all together sculpting time 1.5 hours at the most. She turned out looking a lot older than I anticipated, so I might age her down yet, just wanted to see what the Forums thought. might be interesting to do an older character for once. still very much a WIP I need to do get those horns looking nice and I think I’ll complete a full body eventually, but that will have to wait … maybe ^^ please let me know what you think any and all Cc is welcome

Actually how old do you’s think she looks?

Looking good Sammeh.

I couldnt put my finger on the age personally. Youv got quite defined nasolabial fold, eyelids and crows feet which makes her look a bit older, but at the same time you also have a lot of smooth young realestate on her face.
It looks good, but makes it difficult to pinpoint a specific age i think

@JohnnyRaptor Thanks Johnny! I’ll rework some of those wrinkles and folds, so that they appear more as laugh lines rather than age wrinkles. it’s a fine line between the two. something that’ll need a lot of research I’m sure.

G is for Garuda! Eagle/Human Hybrid from Hinduism (and Final Fantasy) ;D here is my take on her done in around 1.5-2 hours all up.

Spaceship concept WIP + Workflow / hardsurface study. think of it as a cargo vessel or a cruise liner for the great star ocean! haha.

H is for Harpy! a little over an hour on this piece, from a sphere. enjoy.

Worked a little more on my Faun girly today. Aged her down a bit (I think) and detailed the horns + hair. pretty happy so far, will take this character to completion I think. she’s a lot of fun!

I like your faun.

@monstermaker, thanks Man! Glad you like her  big fan of your work!

Looking for any crits on overall proportions at this point. don’t mind the stretched polygons for now, will fix that up once I’m happy with the silhouette and proportions

Hello Sammeh,

I really love the head design of your girl/creature.

On the proportions, I feel the body is really big for the head. Also, the hoofs could be larger or else she might lose balance ^^

Thanks Ouran! glad you like her, I took into account what you said and scaled down the body while also sizing up the hooves, Amongst other things) much better I think!

Now just blocking in basic Anatomy. would love any crits on where I’ve gone wrong  Rather than Goat hooves I’m aiming for something more like a Deer / Doe.

Yep, I think it works better that way. Can’t wait to see the next steps

A WIP of the outfit for my Faun Character. Going for something different than your typical woodland creature idea. More along the lines of a tribal Gypsy/Belly dancer. made good use of the IMM brushes for the first time, made all my own pieces, except the single button and leather strapping which are integrated in Zbrush already.

Another rainy day, got to work some more on my Gypsy Faun Dancer

All colors and textures are currently just place holders for now.

keep it coming man! — she’s gona be epic when you get her done.

I think I’ve finished on all the clothing and refining the anatomy to make her more feminine, I softened her muscles and reshaped her back and arms. next step is pose and compo. any C&C welcome. enjoy

Samuel-

Great Work!

@Fivewingangel, Thanks a lot! :slight_smile:

Posed! and quickly rendered in Keyshot, still have a lot of experimenting to do, and a lot to learn within that program.

Hey Samuel,

This posing is amazingly dynamic. With effects and a good final render/comp, it’s going to be awesome.
