If you are talking about the way the cursor periodically converts to that disk icon, that just means it is processing something or compacting/cleaning up memory which it does try to do while you’re idling.
Andrewly, I doubt it, I use mobile internet and never have any problems. The way I see it the problem is that the servers are simply not sending out activation codes to us, either via the web page or by email. I am sure the problem is at their end…we will see…
After completing the activation, you will see a “congratulations” page. This page also has your activation code. Copy that code, then switch back to ZBrush. Click “Enter Code” and paste it in. This will complete your activation and you won’t need to wait for any email.

i cant use zsketch on a mesh can i?
I have just tried it again, now I get:
“The serial you just entered is either incorrect or not in our database.
Please check the serial number again and enter the serial once more.”

TrackZ - did you type the serial that time? The one time I recieved that error was when I typed the serial instead of pasting it from my cleverbridge email.
I also just tried to activate on a different computer with normal broadband and it made no difference so you’re right it isn’t the mobile broadband or computer settings.
At least you can sumbit tickets, I can’t even get an email confirmation from the support site registration…sigh.
Andrewley, I think you are right, I have just re-tried and I am getting the original dud page again.
I will re-submit the original ticket!

I think I have the same problem as Gordon Robb.
Create Zsphere.
Toggle X-symmetry on.
Rotate camera off from z-axis. Zspheres vanish.
Preview from “A” key shows the mesh.
Zsphere is only visible along z-depth axis, from one direction, not sure + or - direction.
Model has the problem even after loading. I’ve attached the problem file.
Another try, and this time drawing zspheres seems to work.

Hey guys. Not sure if someones posted this error. I did a search in this thread so I assume not.
When I try activate I click by web. It takes me to the pixologic site. But I get this error as the site loads…
After i put in my details and continue to activate I get a screen saying this is an update for zbrush 3.5 and i can’t go further?
I’ve tried downloading new java for both 32 bit and 64 bit and neither work. I’ve tried my internet options>security options to check if java is enabled and it is. I’ve also checked that active scripts is enabled and it is. I’ve tried firefox and I get the same error. I tested java on the java website and it says its working fine
This is the same problem i get when trying to view the classroom vids. The new content doesn’t show up. This is really frustrating! I know its not a pixologic problem. But I’m hoping someone here knows something.
I’m running vista 64bit. Arrrg I loath it!
Please go to http://java.com and install the most current version by clicking the big button on the page. This will hopefully resolve your issue.

If so, then you have the same problem as me and others…I would submit a ticket.

javascript and java are different things. If you just installed firefox without setting it as the default browser it won’t have been launched when you hit the ‘Web’ button (as Zbrush will open the default browser which is probably still IE).
You can try and open firefox in another window and paste in the address from the window that does open.
I already activated zbrush 3.5 license and working fine but after i disconnected my internet or shutting down my computer, zbrush want me to activate it again. Already tried 23 times:evil: but not working, already go to zbrush support like turn off antivirus, delete Zactivation.zcf, etc, etc but not working so far.HELPPPPPPPPPPPPP

Antimorph, just to chip in - I have tried it in both IE and Firefox…I can’t see this being the problem, after all if you enter the serial incorrectly, it comes up with the “doesn’t recognise” serial error…

I’m completely baffled. I’ve even tried my iexplorer 64bit exe. no luck. :/.
when I load a file from light box I’m using the brushes- but I don’t when I start a new zsphere creation.

Have the same problem! 3.5 works online but in offline-mode I need for every new start a new activation-key via web activation.

something odd is happening when you try to make a toplogy mask (ctrl + drag) : the mask is hidden
solution:
1: ctrl + h (view mask)
2: paint somewhere(random) a mask on your model before you make a topology mask
what really happens is: under the masking tab:
when you clear a mask the “view mask-button” got disabled too(at the same time).
seems like a bug to me.
