hi!
i have the same issue some of you guys have: i receive the same message saying the subtools appear to be changed when picking the transposed mesh- that happens for all the models i tested tmaster on- zbrush native or not, without exception (i don’t have any zsheres or something else, just pmeshes or imported .obj objects (xsi)…for some models, the subtools are just put one in top of the other in the origin of the scene- also their relative scale and position is discarded… for other models (like the one i work on now) the subtools are corectly put into place, but their subdiv levels are lost- for all the subtools including the main one- all remain on the first level after transposing…i think that has something to do with the fact they have different subdivision level (some are twice subdivided, some 4 times, some 7 and so on), but i’m not sure of that and more important, i can’t figure out how to correct that …
thank you for your help!
radoo,
The subtools collapsing together is an issue we are aware of and are correcting.
TM should NOT erase subdivision levels. If that is what is happening then it is an issue I have not seen before and if you can send me a file which causes this effect I 'll take a look. (I’ll PM you with my email address.) All subdivision levels should remain intact. It shouldn’t matter if there are different levels for different subtools.
Hello, we have updated Transpose Master to version 1.2E.
This version fixes the following issues:
To install the newest version follow the steps below:

Ryan,
Thanks Pixologic (and marcus) for the update on TM! I missed the announcement two days ago… perhaps other users might have too.
For anyone who did, here’s the link for the TransposeMaster Update version 1.2E.
Sven
thanks a lot!! TM is working perfectly now!!!
Thanks for the update! I have been experimenting with it again and it seems to work really slick. Except on a model like this one where the bucket is a really dense mesh with no subdivsions( made with extraction, I think?).
When I use it on a tool that has a subtool like this ZB freezes. I did a fair amount of experimenting (deleting various subtools out) and am pretty sure its the bucket that is doing it.
Hi,
I’m having the following problem with V1.2E, and I was also having it with V1.
I have models with HD Geometry levels, and the Transpose master does not work correctly with them. as a test I tried giving the DemoSoldier.ztl a HD Geometry subdivision, and sure enough that stopped it working.
When the transpose is activated, only one subtool (the one with HD) is present when this process is complete. The other subtools seem to be ignored. When I transfer the tpose mesh the other subtools reappear, but of course have not been altered
This aint too good, as right now i cant see an option to delete HD geometry from a subtool without rebuilding it from OBJs - what a drag.
Its a nice plugin, cant wait for it to work with my stuff !!!

Harmonic,
Thanks, it is possible that a very dense mesh is causing the problems. Transpose, and therefore Transpose Master, work best where the lowest subdivision levels produce a combined mesh of about 250,000 polys maximum.
mekonboy,
Many thanks, I’m aware of this issue and it will be addressed in a future update. In the meantime, I hope to release a related plugin very soon which will provide a satisfactory work around.
I quickly glanced through this thread…hopefully my issue isnt too intense :D.
I saw in the tutorial with the boxer, subtools were being hidden to better mask the body. How do you hide these subtools if there is only one subtool in the pallet?
Or is the only real way to use the lasso mask tool? I have difficulty selecting or masking the feet and legs without selecting parts of the other foot/leg.
AA-ron, they are already grouped so all you need to do is press CTRL+SHIFT and click on the group that you want to work with.
If you want to hide just one group, you Press CTRL+SHIFT and click on the group you want to hide. Then you press CTRL+SHIFT and click and drag outside of the model.

Cool, that makes it a lot easier to work with. Thanks!
I am losing all my subdivisions when running Transpose Master. However when I run a test on the Demo Soldier it seems to work fine. What could be causing this on one model but not another. I have subtools at different subdivions levels, but from reading previous posts that’s shouldn’t matter. The one subtool did maintain it’s subdivision the first time I tried it but the other subtools did not. Then I reloaded the same original tool that had not had Transpose Master run on it yet and it loses all subdivision levels after done posing and hitting the Tpose>Subt button. I am using the latest version 1.2e.
hi!
@ Whateva - i had the same problem- apparently this is caused by the flipping of the normals in the import/export sequence, that deletes the subdivisions…i don’t think tehre is a solution for it…yet…anyway, i was able to solve the problem with a lot of patience this means, you should do manually what transpose master does:
it is alot of work, especially if you have lots of subtools (i made that for 43 subtools) but it should do the trick…hope it helps
Hello Whateva,
could you upload the level 1 rez to this thread for me to look at?
Best,
Ryan
hi mekonboy…
got exactly the same problem with hd geometry & TM …hope that it’ll be fix soon…
Hi. Im working with my submission for DW3 and I encountered a wierd problem with transpose master I just cant seem to solve.
I cant see the connection between the subtools that works, and those that dont. Just before I hit Tpose->Subtools everything looks ok. I have tried to clean up the meshes, removing creases, redoing polygroups etc. I also made sure there are no masks or isolations active.
btw, the operation I am doing is a “rotate” via Deformation, and I also move and scale with transpose actionline.
Would be great if someone had an advice what might be wrong.
cheers,
Håkan
Perhaps I can narrow things down a bit.
If I start TM at any higher subdiv than 1, and return, the result will be instantly incorrect. Whilst if I enter TM at lvl 1, the mesh will appear correct until i goto higher subdiv for the first time. After that the mesh is messed up even at lvl1.
Also, I never really noticed the first time, this problem did happen on all subtools (about 6 subtools). You even see that the nose on the werewolf is slightly deformed, and the ears are pointing a bit more.
And this is caused by the scaling. Rotation seems to work fine.
But still no solution to it.
Apologies for the delay in replying guys.
tuuhia & mekonboy,
Until TM is updated, you can now use SubTool Master to create a pose mesh when your model has HD Geometry:
hakanpersson,
This is distinctly odd behaviour. If you can post or email me a low res version of this I will take a look. I’ll PM you my address.
Thanks,
i use with many subtools .
Tow of my subtools are mirror of anothers.
I hide some subtool an try use rest of them to Transpose.
I have some problem that mention those below:
some times when i Transoise in one of my subtool that mirror in before , mirror automatically.
some times when i try to Transpose out one of my subtool mirror automatically.
some time when i try to transpose out zbrush crash and drive me crazy.
