I’ve not come across this issue (and I’ve no idea which interface item it’s missing). If you can post a ztl that causes this problem it would help.
Two things to bear in mind:
TM works with visible subtools so if you don’t want to pose some switch them off using the eye icon. Note that the selected subtool is always treated as visible whether its eye icon is on or off.
For a TPoseMesh the original subtools are separate groups. You can use mesh visibility to hide them if you wish (Ctrl+Shift+click on a group). Also, using the Lasso mask is often the best way to mask an area - press Transform:Lasso (Ctrl+Shift+M). To pose a small area, mask that area and then invert the mask (Ctrl+click+drag Background).
The masking think isnt a major problem as I can eventualy get all hidden using inverse mask with lasso. The Interface error im not sure about and unfortunatly its my major project file of my female sculpt, its a big file to post up. I will try to see it it does it at a lower Sub D level and then try again.
Here are two errors im getting, I will try some more models later on.
thanks marcus. while concerns about performance are valid, i believe it is the responsibility of the user to manage the stability of their zb session within the context of both the app and their machines limitations. as it is now if i choose to divide a mesh towards 15 million poly’s ( for example. and a number a lot of people can meet ) i’ll run into trouble 'cause my machine can’t handle it. this shouldn’t mean that pixologic needs to ’ dumb down ’ zb’s ability to meet my lowly restrictions. following that it would be the most disgusting notion if the powers that be pulled back any future development of feature and / or functionality to stay safe under the lowest common denominator
in any case, if we look at practical applications of the improved functionality that was described, there’s little need to use transpose in the millions of poly’s for each subtool. another example might be that you want to carve a scar through a band on a characters arm and off onto its skin. character sits at 1.5 million. band at 500000. the combined total well within zb’s current limits ( though of course i’m ignorant of how that total limit is managed across multiple objects. could be that its overhead is greater than a single mesh of the same count ) and the separate objects at different levels of subdivision. handy !
my single point is this : with improvements like this made to subtools, the benefits far far outweigh the detriments. surely
I really don’t know what technical restrictions there would be in implementing what you suggest but I think we can be confident that Pixologic will add in whatever features it regards as appropriate for its user-base. That this involves forward planning is already evident - the support for up to 256 processors, for example.
tez,
I’m glad that helped solve your problem. If you can avoid using periods in file and subtool names then that would be good too. Zscript can have trouble extracting the path in those circumstances.
I think Pavlovich’s problem is to do with a removable drive, although he hasn’t confirmed this. That issue will be fixed in the next update.
Your problem, I think, is different. It appears that you don’t have a TPoseMasterData folder in the ZStartup\ZPlugs folder. If this is the case, you haven’t installed the plugin correctly.
For some reason my script doesnt seam to work. When I hit TPoseMesh Everything seams to go ok but when my TPose mesh is displayed it has none of my other subtools with it. I dont receive any error messages but when I try to TPose>SubT I get a message that says that my SubTools appear to have been changed. In short my script just doesnt work. I really would like to use this script any help?
The script will only work if the subtools are polymeshes; any parametric primitives or zsphere models will be skipped. It sounds as though this is what is happening for you - if subtools are skipped then there is a mismatch in the subtool number that causes the message you describe.
The subtools are objects created in 3dsmax. I imported them into zbrush and appended my subtool list with the imported objs. The meshes are things like chains around the wrists, teeth, eyes and hair.
Having same problems as Harmonic here, got it to work fine on the demo soldier but when ive tried to use it on a few of my own multiple subtooled meshs get the big heap of subtools
None of the subtools were primitives or zspheres. The only thing i did notice was that after i pressed the Tpose mesh to subtools button all the subtools had groups attached to them varying from 1 to 5. Reloaded orginal model and it doesnt list these when you hover over each subtool.
If you want the mesh i was using for examination let me know and ill attach it.
I hat two problems.
On the model on that I’m currently working I cloned a hand (subtool) and append the clone as a subtool. After that, I mirrored the cloned hand with the deformers and moved it to the other arm. When I use the transpose master the cloned hand jumps always back to the original hand.
Another problem was, I used the deformers to scale an imported mesh down. After using transposemaster the meshes had again the original sizes.
I was able to solve these problems by converting all subtools to a polymesh.
I just wanted to mention that
Hi ,
i currently have the same problem with the Zscript like Janickbelley .
i use the Winrar program to extract the script and i saw that its keep
the construction in subfolder .
i did it even at my work and it works for me but the computer in my home
having some problem even that i formated him lately.
If i can be more spesific then janickbelley about the problem .
after Zbrush lunch i go to the zscript pallete and click on Load script
and i go to the folder : Zbrush\ZStartup\ZPlugs folder
and click on ZSC.file .
then i saw that the plugin is in the Zplugin folder , then i click on one of the function of Transpose Master and i get the message as Janickbelley gets :“ZFileUtils plugin could not be found”
after Zbrush restart again the Zscript disapper …
i dont realy know what can cause this problem but i know that i
most of the time keep my Zplug folder and move it from time to time
after formating my computer and the ui to .
There must be something wrong with your installation. You should not have to load the zsc file, the plugin should simply appear in the ZPlugin palette after startup. Check that you haven’t got the plugin files inside an extra folder. For a correct installation you should have this:
Your ZBrush3\ZStartup\ZPlugs folder contains:
TransposeMaster.zsc - the plugin file
ZFileUtils.dll - the DLL file
TPoseMasterData - the plugin folder (which contains the file TPoseMasterData_folder.txt)
i know that i have some problem with my zbrush installation …this the reason for posting
also i know that the plug in should automatically load when zbrush start .
what can you suggest me to do ?
do you think if i reinstall zbrush the problem can be fixed ?
i realy hope becouze its just a couple of minutes .
thanks again !
i did and also follow the all detail you have mention about the place and the construction of the plugin folder .
i have also another problem with other plugin like Alpha loader and texture loader ( the textures/alphas loader plugin dont have icons at all after open the plugin and the alphas/textures from my computer didn’t load automaticlly ) i almost sure that i folloe the guide in each script that i download , even that i remember more or less by heart , sorry for not mention that to .
its probably the same problem for the both plugins .
thats the reason for want to reinstall zbrush …i dont know why its happend
maybe i did some mistake by delete the original CustomUserInterface or
maybe becouze i change the name of the CustomUserInterface to CustomUserInterface31.cfg … i just guess what can be done wrong .
