does it work with the regular CTRL hold or just using Lasso?

Hi all,

I am wondering that is TransposeMaster only work in zb3.1?
It seems not work in 3.0 for me.
when I finish posing, and click Tpose>subT. Nothing happened…My model still in default pose.

does anyone has the same problem? thanks

windows XP SP2
Intel Core 2 6600 2.4g CPU
2 GB ram

is this intended as an intermediate solution to the problem of posing multiple subtools. like. ahead of the next release ?

issue resolved.sorry

when finish posing the intermediate model, I press Tpose>SubT, a pop window shows up with the message:

" Zscrpit note: Interface item could not be found.
Preferences: Importexport:ImportPolygroups in…
[IGet, Preferences:Importexport:ImportPolygroups]"

then, the original model still in default pose.

anyone knows what is the problem?

btw, I use zbrush 3.0

thanks

Hello, I have been experimenting with this plug on my scared silly characters and I get this result. I have tried it with a few characters and get this same result each time.

(If you look closely the pieces are in the new pose but they re size and pile up on each other?)

I have Amd 5000+ Anthon64 Dual Core processors
2 GB memory
And Windows XP Pro

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I loaded my model. It has 12 subtools. The transpose mesh is created but when I use the topological mask it masks one subtool rather than treating all subtools as an entire mesh! So basically… its not working.

I have a core 2quad with 4 gigs of ram. A quadro fx1500 card.
I believe the subtools do not have the same lowest subdivision level.
Can’t seem to get the topological mask treat transpose mesh as one whole.

HELP!

Hey! I have the same problem as Khalavi: the transposemesh is created but only transposes (and masks) the part (former subtool) of my model I start my transposeline on. Am I doing something wrong or… ?

(v)olotov, khalavi, and Plakkie,

It sometimes ‘works’ with transpose quick-masking, but definitely not consistently.
That’s why the mention of the lasso (and marquee will work as well), which
I didn’t notice at first either. :o

As thomasphoenix mentions, you’ll need to use lasso or marquee for masking.

Great job on this Marcus, Anne-Lise and Pixologic! Much appreciated.

khalavi, Topological Masking (using the Transpose action line to mask) will not always work with a TPoseMesh. This is because the topology is still not connected, although the subtools are merged. Use the Lasso instead.

pi3rr3,
Transpose Master is designed for ZBrush 3.1. It will not work with version 3.0. Version 3.0 is no longer supported and you should upgrade.

Harmonic,
Are you using ZBrush 3.1? If so, perhaps you post a model that is giving problems. I’ve not seen this issue before.

marcus, thank you for your answering!

Hi, I’m experiencing the same problem as Harmonic. This happen even with standard primitives turned into polys as shown below:

[veoh]v1594053btRPgPPa[/veoh]

Windows XP SP2 / Pentium D 3.0 Ghz / 2 Gb RAM / ZBrush 3.1

Kaizer_Soze & Harmonic,

Can you tell me if this only happens with meshes where the top subtool (i.e. the one you appended the others to) was one of the startup primitives, converted to a polymesh? If not, could you post an example for me to test?

Many thanks,

i extract exactly like you said… and it do not work… i have a message saying : ZFileUtils plugin could not be found.

???

so… it do not work… to bad… if it work for someone, can you help me…

Please email us at [email protected] with the information you see in this dialogue. Click ‘OK’ to exit ZBrush or ‘Cancel’ to continue

the “X’s” are the directory it’s trying to save to (there’s some directory names that are NDA so I can’t really show them here).

anyways i click “OK” and zbrush dissappears. Using zbrush3.1, 2.0 GB of ram, Intel Pentium D CPU 3.00 GHz x 2, Microsoft Windows XP Pro version 2002 Service Pack 2

*edit: basically my zbrush tool has a dozen subtools; i hit TPose mesh, it creates the low res poseable mesh, i pose it, then hit TPose > SubT and it gives me that error.

When you extracted the zip file, what program did you use? WinZip has a setting in the Extract dialogue to “Use Folder Names”. If that’s not checked, everything gets extracted to one folder with no subfolders. Something like that most likely happened to you.

Pavlovich,

Is the drive where your ztool is saved a network or removable drive?

marcus,

I’m not quite sure how Tranpose Master works its magic but I was wondering if, in the process, masks or partial masks are transferred from the temporary TPoseMesh to the final subtools?

When I took the posed final model (with subtools) into the movie menu… I got a popup warning that a mask was in effect when trying to adjust the turntable pivot. The warning went away after I click clear mask button. The thing is, I never applied any masks to my finished, posed model… just the temporary model.

In two tests I also got some stray (left-behind) vertices when transforming the final/posed model, on both subtools… (I deliberately translated subtools, offset here, just to demonstrate…) Also, made sure I cleared the mask on the TPoseMesh before pressing the Tpose>SubT button.

Any ideas? Can you reproduce the problem? Does Transpose Master check for, or automatically try to clear any residual masking or mask fragments?

Sven

p.s. By the way, TM is a marvelous piece of scripting - five star Kudos!

Hi, marcus !
I’ve made couple of quick tests and at first glance it seems, that problem with moving all subtools at same position occur on polymeshes generated from Primitives, from Alphas (“make 3D from alpha”) and also from ZSpheres.

From other side it work perfectly with the imported geometry from .obj , also with tools generated from imported .obj ("Extract" option in SubTool palette) and with the default tools from "ZBrush\ZTools" folder (at least couple of them), used as a main subtool. Also if the the tool that make problems is saved and after that reloaded, the problem still exist. Attached are some of the "bad" objects (AlphaSkins and ZSsphere polymesh) Kaizer_Soze P.S. Thanks a lot for the great plugin, this is a must have function in ZB ... and excuse my english
