Questions and Troubleshooting for Transpose Master

I resolved the issue :D. Thanks anyways marcus.

Hi frnds ,when i work on one subtool that time i face a problem that it does not work(traspose master,Tpose mesh)…so how can i use on single subtool on Tpose mesh.please please reply.:question:small_orange_diamond:question:

Hi all…I’m having a problem with Tpose and I didn’t see the message I’m getting earlier in the thread, so if it has been addressed before, I apologize.

Everything appears to work fine until I press TPose>SubT. As it goes through and reverts back to the original model, the following message pops up on one of the subtools (the main body in this case):

“No matching data: SubTool X skipped”

Then it completes the rest, and puts me back into “normal” mode. At this point, the pose has been applied to the fingernail subtools, but not the main body that the message said it skipped.

What causes this?

That will happen if you have tools masked, that might be it.

I thought about that, so I went to each subtool and hit clear mask just to make sure there was absolutely no masking left before I entered TPose, and then I hit clear mask once again once I was done posing the TPose mesh and before I hit TPose>SubT. It still happened. :frowning:

GoofyFoot,

Have you renamed the subtool? (ZBrush will do this automatically in some operations, like cloning.) Transpose Master users the subtool names and will skip any it doesn’t have a reference for.

I’m not sure I follow…Do you mean renaming it after I hit TPoseMesh? No.

The names of the subtools prior to hitting TPoseMesh are as follows (and in order):

FemmeZombie *
femmeZombie **
lowerteeth_tongue_2
upperteeth_2
zombiedress
nails
PM3D_Sphereinder3D

  • These are the eyes
** This is the body, and the part that is not posing properly when I hit the TPose>SubT button.

Could the similarity in the first two subtool names be causing the problem? Should I change the name of the eyes, and try it again?

That was the problem. I went ahead and renamed the eyes, and things worked beautifully!

Thanks! It never even occured to me to look at the subtool names! DOH!

That’s great. Glad you got it sorted. Thanks for mentioning this though - it highlights a situation which I thought I had coded to avoid - duplicate subtool names. If the names are exactly the same then one will be renamed automatically but obviously this fails if there’s a case difference.

I have zbrush 3.1

I downloaded the zip file just now and put it in the Zplugs folder. The folder that it’s in has a hierarchy and content that follows:
-ZStartup (folder)
-Zplugs (folder)
-TPoseMasterData (folder)
-Cashe (folder)
-folder (file)
-TM_logo (file)
-TransposeMasterDLL.dll (file)
-TransposeMasterDLL.dylib (file)

Either I missed something in the simple instructions that were posted on how to put this in a folder, or something is wrong. I start up Zbrush and there is nothing titled Transpose in my plugins.

Can anyone help me out with this please?

hazenbenjamin,

You need to uprade to ZBrush 4 to use the version of Transpose Master available from the Download Center. Upgrading is free to registered users.

Hello There,

I used transpose master, I posed my character and everything was ok! I saved my new posed character as ZTool before pressing the TPose-SubT buttom. When I pressed the buttom my computer crashed…

I open my posed Character agin and tried to make the process but when i press the TPose-SubT buttom this message appear: " please select action… Load file from disk or cancel"

How can i finish the process of loading the high mesh on my already posed low res mesh??

Thanks!

I work on QuadCore with 4G RAM.

VI&ED,

Which version of ZBrush are you using?

marcus_civis,

I am using Zbrush 3.5R3

OK, then you need to do this:

  1. Load the ZTL which is the posed mesh.
  2. In the Tool>Export menu, turn off the Txr button, then export the model as an OBJ.
  3. Load your model which has the subtools (that you want to transfer the pose to).
  4. Press the TPose>SubT button in the Transpose Master menu. You will get a dialog box asking if you want to Load a File from Disk.
  5. Press the button and select the OBJ that you exported at (2).
  6. The plugin should transfer the pose to your model.

Also you should upgrade to ZBrush 4 (a free upgrade to registered users). You will then be able to benefit from an improved Transpose Master, as well as all the new features of ZBrush 4.

HI marcus_civis,

Thanks for your help,… i did exactly what you told me but my pc crashed again. I deleted some piece on both meshes thinking that maybe they were too heavy. I did the process again and it finished completely well but the mesh didn’t get the pose !!

I don’t know why, maybe it is to much for my pc to process, or maybe some zbrush bug…

Finally i posed my character again manually with the classic transpose! lol

Anyway thank you very much for your help, and i should upgrade to ZBrush 4, i think.

aight im having a problem with transpose master while using zbrush 4. i have a model with 5 subtools. and no matter what i do when i try to revert the low-res changes to my hi-res model, a few subtools lose their color, some subtools are deformed, and one certain subtool ALWAYS turns into this crazy ball of aluminum foil. I’ve searched the internet and it seems a couple people have had this problem too. unfortunately, the best help they were given was advice to “deduce like sherlock holmes.” can somebody PLEASE PLEASE help me with this?
(first pic is before i click “transfer to subtools.” second pic is after)

mooblah6,

I would guess you mirrored the Right & Left Gauntlet? This can cause the normals to flip when importing, with the result that you see. If you merge the two subtools together Transpose Master will pose them correctly - but you will need to start over with the posing.

So I’ve spent 2 hours, trying different things to get this to work/reading this forum, with no success- which is aggravating and embarrassing because I clearly just don’t get it.

I have zbrush4, I downloaded this plugin a couple times to make sure I’m getting it right when I extract it.

In Zbrush4/ZStartup/ZPlugs:

In that folder I put:
Transpose Master_4_06/TPoseMasterData4:
-Cashe/folder
-TM_logo
-TransposeMasterDLL.dll
-TransposeMasterDLL.dylib

I tried taking it out of the “Transpose Master_4_06” folder, I also tried taking it out of the TPpseMasterData4 folder. Basically I’ve tried arranging it in different ways thinking that maybe I had an extra folder that I shouldnt have which only gave me different error messages.

When I have all those folders listed above I get:
“Note: The Transpose Master plugin DLL could not be found at the correct location. Please re-Install the plugin, making sure the relevant files and folders are in the ZStartup/ZPlugs folder”

When I take it out of that first “Transpose Master_4_06”, so that the directory starts with the “TPoseMasterData4” folder I get this error message:
“Error Opening Folder”

When I take everything out of the of the “TPoseMasterData4” file and try it that way I get the first error message again…

I’m assuming that I must the one doing something wrong, so PLEASE before I put my face through my monitor, save me from myself. Thanks…

hazenbenjamin,

  1. Download the plugin zip file to your desktop.
  2. Unzip the zip file.
  3. Most likely the unzipping will create a folder called TransposeMaster_4_06. Open this folder.
  4. Move the TransposeMaster_4_06.zsc file to the ZBrush 4.0\ZStartup\ZPlugs folder.
  5. Move the TPoseMasterData4 folder, including all its contents, to the ZBrush 4.0\ZStartup\ZPlugs folder.
  6. Restart ZBrush.

That’s it. If you don’t follow these instructions exactly then the plugin will not work correctly.
