That link doesn’t say how to change it … hence the request for a simple function inside zbrush to change the pathway.
Click Set QuickSave Pathway button>find folder to quicksave to>done.

Just had an email from Pilgway Team - 3DCoat. Looks like they are introducing PBR into their next drop or v.soon + Smart Materials ($379 - seems a steal!!). I kinda hope Pixologic have considered this (PBR). Obviously not for 4R7, but defo ZB5. You can take my money now if so!!!
Got to add, this year has been fantastic for 3d artists. Especially with software packages by Allegorithmic - Bitmap2material/Substance Painter/Substance Designer. Quixel, The game engines UE4/roll on Unity 5. Modo and Mesh Fusion. Cheaper Render Engines - Octane, Keyshot Bridge, Renderman around the corner and Arnold to name but a few.
Oh forgot about the compositing software!!! Nuke Studio due very soon!!! Hmmm and something else that The Foundry are due to tease us with on the 13th Nov. (looks 2d orientated from the teaser!)
Ooops, nearly forgot and 4R7 soon…ish lol - Happy Days!!!
PIXOLOOOOGIC…U R THAT MEAN… all this users are waitingwaitingwaitingwaitingwaitingwaitingwaitingwaiting
we NEED it NOW
I am waiting 4 my projects for the 64 bit version…it will rock totally
Is the 64Bit Version not for the next zbrush generation (ZBrush 5)?!
*EDIT:
We are currently deep in development of the 64-bit version of ZBrush and 4R7 will be the final 32-bit version.
Would be awesome to have the ability to group specific subtools together that would allow each subtool in that group to keep subd levels but get edited as a whole. Seems like this would also help with posing around an object as the transpose master could be used on a grouped subtool object and leave other grouped subtools alone. Pose a man on a motorcycle for example without the motorcycle being effected at all. Or individual feather tools on a wing could be merged into a Subtool Group with subd still active and modified as a group.
Just a thought. Cant wait for 4R7!
DesignItLive, i think they mentioned there would be a beta 64bit 4r7 version as well.
As there will be a beta 64bit 4R7 and it’s currently in beta test phase with Pixologic, will that make it a “Beta Beta” on release? Sounds a bit like Twiki off Buck Rogers if you say it fast enough!!
What are the odds that there are still major feature improvements/additions in 4R7 that have not yet been announced? I was really hoping for better painting tools (like usable layers for example) so I can avoid the need to jump into Mari or Mudbox in order to do texturing.
I know most everyone is excited about the poly editing tools and Keyshot bridge but I have pretty much zero use for either in my workflow.

I like to do as much as possible in Zbrush moddeling, uv mapping, texturing. I dont want to make something with a different software but that is something that is not going to happen.
They all have advantages and disadvantages.
I agree on the texturing stuff i love projection my paintings from photos and the way zbrush offers the possibilities to do so.
On the other hand i never felt comfortable rising up the polycount to paint.A solution to paint on high resolution textures would be a dream come true.
I work with Maya but Zbrush is futures ahead when it comes to sculpting and retopologizing meshes for that a huge huge thanks !
I dont like Mayas way to work with highpoly meshes that sucks badly compared with zbrush …

I don’t think it’s any bother at all to drop down those subdivisions after Polypainting.
One new feature that I am pretty sure is going to be awesome is nanomesh … Maybe it can be used even just for texturing , projecting the nanomesh details on the original basemesh. Just and idea …We will see but definitively more things than the bridge and low polygon modeling.
… if the remaining summit recaps are going to be uploaded to Youtube.
If I remember rightly, I don’t think we’ve had the hi def presentations from Maarten Verhoeven and the guys from The Division.
There might be others these but these two sprang to mind.
Many thanks for the vids by the way…
Tired of being kind, gracious, appreciative, understanding, compliant.
WHERE IS IT?
I WANT IT BY WEEK’S END!!!
HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS!!!
Severe repercussions will follow!!!
(please.)
****(you have to like the repercussions part)
… looks like Bicc39 was carried out kicking and screaming small_orange_diamond:p
Is it me or is it getting hot in here?
Maybe we need a ZBrushCentral naughty seat.
The natives are getting restless…
The Digital graveyard is such as desolate place.
Brings back many fond memories!
I have placed a request somewhere in this forum as to a heat map measuring system as to thickness on models, seems Sculpteo heard me or it is a huge necessity in the 3D printing world.
See their model testing area, but set up for their materials, I would love to put a measurement in on my own and hereby creating a heat map, see their image attached. Would be great as again not a to and fro between programs…
Hi Sigmund,
Feature requests should be made via a Support ticket. That way they can go directly to the development team and also be tracked.
Thanks!
Thanks Aurick - will do…
Keep up the good work!

I persevered through 2 years of on and off love hate relationship with Zbrush and can finally say I’m now on the love side mostly.
SO looking forward to Sketchup style modelling in 4R7! If I could do it all in one app I would…
First I was quite meh about Keyshot. But after digging deeper into Zbrush’s mat/light/render stuff, probably it’s just me, but I find Zbrush’s transparency rendering either lacking or as usual seriously confusing. So a one click render app might come in useful… After some youtubing I decided I quite like Keyshot’s UI and material organization system…
In which case I really hope Keyshot will also work seamlessly with one-click port-over Zbrush timeline and layers/blendshape animation. Simple vertex cache/ morph target animation in Keyshot environment would be super super awesome…
Maybe the two apps should just get married already!
It could be helpful to manually chooses the color of a Polygroup. (SHIFT + CTR +W)
Instead of “CTR +W” clicking till you find a color that is kinda close to what you want.
ex: (SHIFT + CTR +W) pops up a color menu.
Polygroups from PolyPaint is also very helpful, but it would save a step.
