This sounds like that finally IF you will Zb 5 you will pay for it? I presume
i guees not expensive:D
Charge us!
Please Charge us!
I can no longer live with this guilt, Charge us!
The mind screams every day, Charge us!
The thought of Pixologic employees living in poverty Charge us!
The thought of using economical software, Charge us!
Using a piece of software that I bought over 12 years ago,Charge us!
Come on, Charge us!..I dare you.
I’m grateful so far for the upgrades and figure that eventually it would change. But, you guys have been more than generous. What I would hate to see happen is Adobe or Autodesk buying ZBrush out. Imagine what would happen then!!!
Thank you everyone for the help! Looking forward to working in this program and getting started in this new path in life. I’m excited to see what all is going on and getting to know you all. As I said before, super excited for the update! I will be purchasing a license later today! You know what… Lets get the download started now!!!
Welcome MemorY556!
You’re gonna have a blast!

this will be me 1st free update so let’s not rush them…and I can assure they are not living in proverty… lol some of us r still learning the program and not making money off of it like me, currently is a hobby. I can pay upgrade but that’s one of the things I loved about pixo when I purchased it was the free upgrades.
thanks pixo guys…we all love u…
unleash the beast !!!
Please !!!
The only thing I would hope is that they don’t opt for the SaaS/rental model (software as a service), that Adobe and now Autodesk has opted for. Pixologic has long since deserved some cash, though. I bought in back around 2.0. The list of free upgrades has been unbelievable. I’ve not seen any other company be so generous for so long. So yes, pony up to the bar, pass the hat, do whatever you have to. You folks deserve the compensation.
ah… now that make sense, i didn’t know it was that way… guess i did got some confusion with other company ^^;
well, I know atleast 2 comapnies that did use this free upgrades system : http://www.Quixel.se for the maps creations et http://www.image-line.com for the awesome music software, well, so far is what I know at the moment XD;
THE UPDATES IS THERE ! WAAAAHHHH
… in fact I lied ! it’s not available yet… you can kill me and throw me at the most evilest witch XD;
We probably will not see ZB5 till next Christmas so I’ll get to that when it arrives. But GOODNESS gracious Z4R7 is like an entire new package. I’m so thrilled that before 2015 arrives I will be playing with it!
I have to break away from watching the demo videos because they reawaken motivation! Guys I hope they create hard surface competitions after the release!
That would be a smart contest for Keyshot. It would build the portfolio of Keyshots Bridge.
Maybe extend trials that last the time of the contest to everyone and reward 1st place with a free copy of Keyshot’s ZB Bridge…
I would prefer an add on system like they’re doing with keyshot going forward if they are going to charge for particular parts that way we could pick and choose what we want. After this update the only thing I can think I want is an easier pipeline to 3d engines and far better texturing for games like substance painter. Maybe a rigger too. I do feel like pixologic needs to create some sort of bridge to ue4 and unity. Considering the vast majority of people that use this program use it specifically for games. Not all of course, but yes the VAST majority.
Was thinking about buying 3dsmax or maya but then I saw this update… really hope it comes out soon kind of at a roadblock with my game without it.
I wonder what will be released first, Oculus Rift or Zbrush 4R7? Maybe Window 10 come before it! Or Star Wars Ep VII!
I bought the software in 4r6 I was impressed with zremesher. This along with 64bit. Thank you jesus. I will be downloading the beta. Cant be much worse for other purposes.
THANK YOU PIXOLOGIC.
Zbrush isn’t a rigging or an animation package. They made that clear from the beginning.
And most of those engines are usually made by max/maya/blender/c4d anyway but I understand where you are coming from…
Yet I would like something like Maya has with isolated selection for polyfaces vertices and edges this looks like its a step forward in easier hard surface modeling for zbrush users.

Not quite true!
All done in Zbrush sometime ago!

Pixolator is obviously tempted by Zbrushes animation possibilities(and good at it too!-love that dino walkcycle ).
Thanks Jack!
We have seen animations come out of Z for a while now. This being most definitely made it clear with the anniversary edition. But Ofer has made it clear for well over a decade that there will be animation in ZBrush (Dino Walk). As For Rigging, That too was implemented shortly after ZSpheres came about in 1.55b so that too has been around for a while.
This one is still one of favorite to watch!
Cheers

I wonder if Zbrush Timeline animations will be directly exportable to Keyshot -the Xpose function demonstrated in that video seems ideal for product shots- maybe Keysot already has that function?
So I stopped modeling ever since I seen Zbrush R7 Preview due to the fact it changes so much. Its been a few months now and I am getting sadder each day thinking if I should just stick with my original program. Any update or news that we can see its been dead silent about R7 since the Summit
Still the only word is “Autumn 2014” WIKI describes that as…“In North America, autumn is usually considered to start with the September equinox[5] and end with the winter solstice (21 or 22 December).” so…by Christmas even…maybe? Hope Zbrush isn’t going by Australian or New Zealand Autumn “In Australia and New Zealand, autumn officially begins on 1 March and ends on 31 May.” kidding! I am sure the testing is getting done. Dig in while you are waiting! There are tons of brushes and Dynamesh you could be getting familiar with.
