Just a question regarding 4R7 ZBrush Keyshot bridge . I have ZBrush on Desktop at work and laptop at home will I be able to load ZBrush Keyshot bridge on my desktop and laptop ?
ricor wrote: Also I don’t know if, in a scene with many subtools, i will be able to transfer all subtools, one after an other, to Keyshot respecting the same layout of my Zbrush scene and after that, to render.
The bridge will send all visible subtools to Keyshot and they will be placed in the same positions relative to one another like they were n ZBrush.
Dillster, it is a very good and refreshing information, thank you very much!

Glad it helped. This might also help, a video I made a few months back showing the ZBrush to Keyshot Goz beta in use:
The bridge will be much better as it will allow ZBrush materials to also cross the bridge, along with polypaint and colour info.
Finally! 64bit and a Keyshot bridge! I had to read the post twice because I did not trust what my eyes were telling my brain!
Thanks Archimage3d and Dillster, wow!
And an other good new, i have bought Quixel Suite (NDO, DDO and 3DO) recently and I red that it is a complete integration with their app Fusion with Keyshot. ’
''Fusion lets you plug DDO right into any apps. DDO ships with calibration support for a multitude of rendering engines including Keyshot.

I’m curious about how the Keyshot Bridge / ZBrush for Keyshot licensing will work.
Right now Pixologic lets us have a copy on a desktop and a laptop as long as they aren’t both running at the same time.
Will this be the same for these new products or will we have to buy a separate license for each machine?
Ouh,…soo coooool. Thx Pixologic… The pop-up boxes are so interesting. I’m curious and happy…
Very excited about the new tools in zbrush 4r7, more so then the keyshot bridge. Cant wait! I really hope you announce the release date soon so I can count down the days. thanks for everything.
Now all is left is to know is the release date!
Yeah, these sneak peaks are so cruel!
I´m so hyped up I want the 4r7 right now.
Could somebody please, give somekind of estimated time for the release?
My typical day at the moment
-
Wake up
-
Say “OMG today must be THE DAY, F-yeah 4R7 booya :D”
-
Grab laptop
-
Type in www.pixologic.com
-
See that there is still no release :o
-
Hit Refresh a few hundred times
-
Realize today is not the day
-
Rinse and repeat until launch.
Yeah, it’s going to be interesting. At the moment, our studio buys copies of ZBrush and a lot of that is based on the fact that we have been getting free upgrades for some time now, almost to the point that they are expected - the same applies for my own personal copy - the free upgrades are awesome!
However, if I throw €250 at keyshot, will the future upgrades for that also be free? Knowing that would certainly influence my decision by a significant factor, and I’m sure I’m not alone on that. I’m not saying it’s normal to give free upgrades, far from it. Just that the implication so far from Pixologic has been that upgrades are free (go Pixo!), but would the same ethos apply from the Keyshot developers I wonder? I’d hate to buy it only to find it obsolete by the time ZB5 comes out and another upgrade cost attached to it then.
I’m thinking that the focus on improving ZBrush’s rendering system will wait now that KeyShot is in the mix, but hopeful that the option to render in ZBrush will remain available. One thing that I am wishing for is a PSD exporter which will allow you to create a multilayered PSD of all material renders, alpha, ao, depth, SSS… And designate the blending options before you export. That would be sweet.
Subtool groups would be a huge help as well. But, with subtool groups it would be even cooler if you could group your hard surface and organic elements seperately and have ZBrush recognize those elements when using the transpose line or transpose master.
^ I agree with the points raised above. Im sure more details will be released about the upgrade which should hopefully answer these questions. for me the new poly modelling toolset is cool, but not that practical since we do most of our hard surface work in other packages.
I’d also like to see more details on any organic sculpting toolset / texturing updates in the new release.
Keyshot bridge will be great for quick review renders and personal work. but for a VFX pipeline it wont be that useful.
The nanomesh and noisemaker updates look useful though, great job guys.
And any update to include a lens matching system between 3D packages would be great. IE import, export cameras.
However, if I throw ***8364;250 at keyshot, will the future upgrades for that also be free? Exactly. I would be willing to throw down $250 if the KS upgrades are also free for life. If not, $250 + upgrades is too much for such a small resolution renderer, especially with renderers like Cycles (free) and Marmoset (really inexpensive).
I hope there will be an answer to the question if the Keyshot bridge will carry over to ZB5 and if a cost is expected.
Can we have some clarification on the EULA for Keyshot with Zbrush . Can we load it on two computers so long as we don’t use them at the same time .
I think, with the new, cool special Tools on the new (PopUp)Box will be some Tools in ZBrush not more necessary. This Box is amazing. I think that was, what ZBrush has needed (The absolutely control about single Polygons). I’m happy like a kid on it… hihi
