Portfolio v2.0

why is she in army pants?, is she one of those lame downtown street kids whom thinks its cool to dress up like they are in the army while in reality being barely able to coordinate feeding themselves food over doing ecstasy or drinking booze?

will she have a pistol to further indicated her mercenary roots? Is she elegant?

As far a colour is concerned i ask you : How well do you know the colour wheel? have you taken time to study its “complementary” magic?

I’d say option 1. Camo pants seems kinda garish to me.

I like 3 and up.

Great work btw.

Impressive work you got here!!!

Hey guys, thanks for comments! I’ve decided to take a different approach to the colors, but thanks for the feedback anyway, appreciate it.

jeh in: Are you one of those strictly shirt and trousers kinda guy or you just really really hate camo pants? Go a couple of pages back, there’s a render of complete thing with her holding an SMG. She isn’t exactly classy or elegant per se if you look at the clothes design, buy I still want her to be feminine and will try to capture that in the final pose.

Here’s somewhat of a finished thing. I’ll probably revisit the face to fix some areas, and might add some more dirt to the boots, but overall I think it’s done. There’s quite a bit of red in the screen shots, but that’s just me playing with filters in Marmoset without noticing it…

Anyway, let me know how it looks

I love it mr.BananaS. You’ve done a great job on this. Kudos.

Ezra

I’m liking this last one much more than the previous clothing examples. Only crit is that the skin SSS looks too heavy. I would tone it back a bit. Otherwise, looks good. Keep it up!

Great job !

Looking great! You might want to cool the skin a bit. There might be too much red with the hair and the leather. Other than that it looks fantastic!

Hey guys. Like I said, I didn’t notice just how much red was there in the shots. It was 2AM, I was tired and hungry…

Anyway, here’s the final thing. I really don’t like how the face turned out ( she’s definitely not my type), but overall I’m quite happy with the results. The project took me way more than what I had planned, so gotta stop somewhere and move on to something else.

By the way, she’s 20k something tris. Renders are from Marmoset, with a touch of PS.

Really love how this turned out; leaps and bounds of improvement each time you upload an update. Great job! Can’t wait to see what else your portfolio has in store for us in the future.

i really the textured version.but i think face want some more work .anyways good work nice texture.

Love it the low poly version
congrats !!!

Thanks, guys  I’ll probably get back on her tomorrow to polish it up just a tad and fix the face.

In the mean time, here’s the finished Jim. I still need to close the holes in his suit and the backpack, but overall it’s done. Just need to find some people know who knows a thing or two about 3d printing and send this guy off!
The final image is composed of ZBrush screenshots, I didn’t use BPR render or any other fancy things, just a bunch of images with different matcaps and colors put together in Photoshop. So yeah, it’s rough but it’s a 2007-2008 model that I can finally put to rest and hopefully make a 3d print of.

It seems like Zbrush really brings out all those lovely texturing options.
