awesome… but how on earth did you do the fishnet stockings?
Nice work.
I’m guessing he masked then extracted the pattern.
Glad you like her, guys
Toxicassclown: Go to the previous page, there are a couple of videos I posted on how I sculpt the clothes. They will do a much better job than me explaining step by step how I do it. As for brushes, I don’t use anything fancy. All the standard brushes really and a couple of custom ones I found online that I use from time to time. The “cloth” brush that I use in the videos is just the standard brush with a more tight alpha, taken from the default alpha set that comes with ZBrush.
P.S. making the fishnet using masking would be a mad thing to do
digi-mech: Topogun to make clean and simple “shell” on top of the legs, MAX’s graphite tools to change the topology of the shell, turn edges into splines, convert to poly and presto, it’s done
Anyways, I’ll probably post a complete sculpt tomorrow or on weekend so stay tuned!
Here’s a quick pose and render test of the sculpt. As well as a close up of the gun. Not 100% replica, but close enough. Decided not to use any dynamesh or other ZBrush tricks and went with traditional modeling to see if I still got the skills for this type of work.
Next stop, low poly!
Man, that last render is tops. Excellent quality.

love the Cloth sculpting videos!
Nice pose, Great model !!
awesome:P
Very nice work! Thanks also for the great cloth sculpting demos as well. Very useful. What did you use to render the posed sculpt by the way if you don’t mind me asking? Thanks!
John
Hey guys, thanks for the comments!
nielot007: Agree about the knees. They got really messed up after I posed the model, but even in T pose they gave me some troubles, so I fixed them up a little bit.
jderiggi: Hey John, I used mental ray and “Fake it” pack by Andrew Nash. I didn’t have any time to play with the render settings so I just used the default ones and did some post work in PS.
Ah, thought it may have been Mike (Andrew) Nash’s render setup. Good stuff. Thanks again for the info and the great sculpting vids!
John
jderiggi: No problem
Hey guys, I need some help here. I have no idea what colors to go with… Let me know if you like any of these or if you think a combination of some would work better. Or if you have something completely different in mind.
Thanks!
3 or 4.
Try one with a dark shirt and lighter colored pants…basically, 1 with swapped colors for the shirt and pants.
