Playing with 3.0(some nude monsters)

These are flawless as usual. Love the reptile-goat-flying  .
The thing that strikes me the strongest is the ā€œbronzeā€ like material, just beautiful. Its like hipno material time… :+1:

Woh, looks good that copper monster. But please stop showing us that nice stuff. We can’t wait anymore for ZB3. Water is dripping out of my open mouth. I think I take some sleepingpills until I can download ZB3 (mac)  :+1: :+1:

Popeye is my favorite, but the little zombie monsters and old women and demons are just sick man! great work, as always you are an inspiration.

Now lets see your version of Olive Oil or Bluto(Brutus) heh.

Rick! Man, I see you’re completely addicted to ZB 3. So many non-stop great production coming everyday! Are you sleeping at all? You make me feel even more like a lazy bastard now! Dang

Keep all this daily inspiration coming Rick. Great stuff as usual :+1:

-Kris

Thanks again everyone. I began polypainting this guy and boy it is going to take a while. lots of surface to cover and a lot of sub tools. This is just the beginning hopefully it will get a lot better.
Kris you lazy bastard quit screwing around and post more cool stuff. I think you should quit your job so you can spend the whole day making inspiational images for us to look at.

Its coming to life nicely :+1:

Waiting for ZBrush 3 is making me feel like a kid anticipating Christmas morning. Looks like a fun toy. It might interfere with fishing though. Maybe I could work on a laptop while I fish  Lets see - a generator, a folding table, a bottle of Single Barrel, ZBrush and a pole. I could be on to something here.

Those colors make the creature alive. Can almost hear it’s terrible roar… Is ā€˜polypainting’ in any way different from the way we poor non-beta people use Projection Master? (apart from the fact that it’s fully interactive?)

May 15th isn’t that far of anymore… I can hardly believe it.

I agree your work is real , strong and unforgetable, well like a slap in the face…
The tiger dragon is my fav.
Very inspiring images ,i cant wait to see whats next.
Keep it up man
:+1:

wow not only is your sculpture work phonemenal but it really came alive when you poly painted it, man you have some insane talent!

I was just noticing the shape of the teeth. Nice touch.

Ok Apparently I can’t edit my post any more.Too bad I wanted to replace the last image of this guy with this one so I guess I’ll have to put it here. I painted and sculpted him a bit more I figure the poly painting is about 3/4 finished.
Plakkie yes poly painting is similar to what we use to do in projection master but you don’t have to drop and pick it up.

Moderator note: First post updated with new image.

great impressive work :+1: :+1: :+1:

One of the main reasons I bought Zbrush was being able to paint my objects with brushes and stuff. I was a bit dissapointed when I found out it wasn’t an interactive process. I totally forgot my dissapointment as I learned that Zbrush totally rocked in countless other things. So far I have hardly come round to painting models with Zbrush yet, and now in a few weeks IĀ“ll be able to paint without drop and pickup. :sunglasses: Thanks for the info Rick, and looking forward to see the 4/4 painted monster!

Rick this is very high class work. The detail is amazing and texturing is stunning.

How large can zbrush 3 export a render? The detail is so high that its begging be seen 4096 + resoloutions.

Very nice!!! i love painting while im skulpting. its good stuff =)

I love the way this creature is coming along! I can’t wait to get my hands on Z3!

Hey Rick.
This is really turning out very cool.
Seems like you took to those painting techniques really well.
You got to love it.
Cheers

Aka, The Voodoo Monkey

awesome post i have a question though i really liek all the work but the monster with the body of a serpent face of a leopard etc, where is that creature from? is it a biblical monster a creature of myth and legend something you made up?

dozogovi, I don’t know what it is. I based it, some what, on a sculpture that I really like that I saw in Paris on the left bank near the latin quarter. I first saw it on a trip to Paris after I finished American Werewolf in the early 80’s . I found the combination of big cat and reptile odd but interesting. the real sculpture has smaller bat like wings that are also covered with feathers.
Hey voovoo, stop being so tall.
Jonas ,it is great to be able to sculpt and paint at the same time I love it! I only wish I could do it in my real world work.
Tez, I don’t know how big you can go I suppose it is only limited my the power of your machine.
Thanks , I try and post a more finished version tonight

Rick, when the studios see your texture love lavished on digital as well as on someone’s makeup, you may have yourself a ā€œreal worldā€ job!

We could do worse than having you realize the next Davy Jones…
