hey man i was just wondering as you seems os vell versed in zbrush if you could give me a few pointers as im ultimately stuck!!!

nice progress patrick. i really like her hair.
did you use fibermesh as a base for the curves, or is all done in maya/max etc.?

-r

she’s great! love it

Thx Intervain glad you like her
TheTyrannicalModeler just keep at it
Hey Rasmus, well I did use 3 different types of hair creation.
1 for the buns I used a Torus and converted polyloop to curve to hair. It has history on the curves abd I keep the torus to render in the same material as the hair
2 I export a decimated mesh with uv data to maya and use paintfc to draw curves on it then convert pfx to curves rebuild curves and attach hair to them
3 yup fibermeshes for the eyebrows and some loose strans I used fibermesh exported as curves and attached hair in maya
they all have there advantages and disadvantages…
hope this helps

Patrick I know I’ve mentioned previously elsewhere, but it’s a real pleasure to see the process behind this and all the effort that’s gone into it. I also really enjoyed your go monster project!

THX James
Here is an quick photoshop edit on the model I have so far. I am going to call the modelling didn’t catch the character 100% tho. Still to do: Maybe distort the mesh somehow to compare more with the original.
I have to redo the entire hair as it still is on the old head. Different elements need some tweaks on the placement.
I think I am going to sculpt out the jelly around her mouth doesn’t really make sense to have it as a texture.
Add some extra fur here and there. Add some fx like smoke. I think I am gone make the text also in 3d. Check the flakes. Check saturation in post. Still quiet a lot to do but I am getting closer

looking really good!
two things that would get you closer to the original (except you did the two points on purpose)
-bring the feet closer together. now her whole weight is on her left leg but in the original concept it’s on both legs
-her head needs to be a little bit tilted to her right
keep going you’re almost there!

Great work, very funny!

Thx guys!
Got stuck with the fairy :frowning: . 3d characters can be brutal. She doesn’t really like and neither me. Going to let it rest for a while…
So took a break, Marco time! I think I am gone go for more a cinematic approach instead of always those square presentation/turntables. Still a wip tho testing some angles.

Here are the final images of theSix O clock fairy of Blad Moran. Turned out quiet a challege and I do have kinda mixed feelings about the result but that means there is still a lot to learn  :(.
As always almost everything is done in Zb except the rendering that’s in vray maya.
