Tattooandy, dustbin1_uk, saintasik, raguyarts, spaceman: way to go guys! thanks for posting the pics (and the awesome vid raguyarts) !
I’m sitting here saying Wow! outloud. This is wonderful stuff and shows the potential of Zbrush in 2d. Some of this looks like anything done in Painter, Photoshop, Illustrator, you name it. 50.
Really enjoying the PaintStop addition to ZB…
Im finding myself using only ZB now, as im starting to really enjoy how the mediums feel and work. The marks that can be made by layerering different tools surpasses imo many of the other art aps. Plus i enjoy things being kept simple! Stencils are FUN.
here is a little speed PStop!

Etcher, love the abstracts… very Miro/ Gris
Not sure whether we’re posting to the original thread or here, so am doing both???
Anywho, here’s a doodle i did today
On the subject of tracing, fine if it’s put to some new and inventive purpose?
Otherwise it’s just tracing… surely? are we saying paintstop is as good as tracing paper?
Oar, stuck well and truly in…
Here’s a crop from a WIP painting that I started this morning. I didn’t intend to start drawing Audrey II but it just kind of became a Little Shop of Horrors picture. I’m not fighting it From scratch.
@Spaceman: Nice doodles!
@PMRRRT: Great to see youre using PaintStop for painting concepts.:+1: @romilkchoprazb: That
s a great painting! I read that youve used Photoshop (brightness+contrast). You can also do this with Zbrush (Render Palette --> Adjustments) If you like. :) @Tattoo Andy: Really cool Yoda! Great colors! @dustbin1_uk: Great likeness! Very well done. @saintastik: I love owls.:) Love the color composition.:+1: @raguyarts: Really nice image. Thanks for posting the video.:) @Cherea: As I said before:great image. And another timelapse video. :):+1: @Scitalis: You
re clearly having fun with PaintStop. I like the crazy colors and the glow effect.
@RawSunlight: Wow! Thats a great image! I love everything (except the cigarette:-1:;)). @JonDP: Very good start. I
m looking forward to seeing the final.
did a quick doc brown sketch… this plug in is super fun
Emmet Brown!!! hahaha wow, so cool sketches!!! really congratz to everybody
:lol:haha nice, really like the Emmet Brown.
Nice style to see Doc in. great job
Wow…just wow…now ZBrush can claim as 2D Tool king as well…so stunning! both the program and artists using it.
Some really fantastic sketches turning up here! I wish I could contribute something too. In time I guess. The Doc Brown really tops it off
Incredible work, incredible plugin, I love it.
Thanks moni-poroni.
quick doodle
just a little update on the Audrey II painting: This is the final version. On this and the WIP posted earlier I did use a small Photoshop curves adjustment because it appears that once the image is converted to a photoshop file there is some sort of contrast or color conversion that takes place and makes it lighter. This is approximately how the painting appeared as I was painting it in Zbrush/Paintstop.
heres a quick sketch & and WIP piece.
Paintstop is really funny to use!
Here is my first try,a little painting concept.
This is another concept,it’s really cool doing character design directly in
Zbrush!
I’ve got a question, I’ve been watching Cherea’s ‘Goblin’ video on page 5 of this thread. If you’re out there, Cherea,…or someone else. About halfway through the video you are painting on top of the black lines and then drop the color under the lines. How is that accomplished in Paintstop? Thanks, Rich.
