Now Im having fun

Welcome back
If people paid attention to the dimensions of their images, the text would work out better.
Maybe a check for image dimensions as well as check for size(kb) and type is in order

Thanks Doug!
As far as the image size thing goes:
nah, just make a table about 700 pixels across with one row and one column, it works fine. Messing with the image size is bad enough just trying to get things into the 500k limit.
Its an extra step and a bit of a pain in the ass to remember but it does the job, however when you are editing your post all that stuff is now in some stupid “advanced” section for no apparent or good reason.
I think its a wonder that the webmasters havnt decided to resurrect the blink tag.

No problem to resize or compress files to meet limits here  Not everyone will need an advanced tab. I’m using classic view with Safari on the iPad with no problems other than when people make huge images. I view forums on both PC and the iPad. Cheers

Watch this, the formatting is about to become toast.

Cool, what is the width and height of the larger images?

1600 x 900 for small monitor here, 1920 x 1080 is the large monitor(where ZBrush is used)…

Another broken “feature” is suppressing the tile thing… turning that on or off simply has no effect whatsoever.

Testing some more…

OMG!!! Beautiful details, materials, rendering. =O

Lots to absorb, learn, & do! :grimacing: :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

re: bio-designer’s Adventures with Intricate Alphas in ShadowBox.

I love those dammed things so much, they need to be re-created so people can touch them.
I agree…they are unique…nicely detailed and rendered. I hope to do something similar, but
different, and use his MatCaps that I downloaded (I don’t even know what a MatCap is yet, but it looks
very interesting).

ZBrush seems hard and strange at first but after a while you start to see how one thing can sort of feed into another and stuff starts to take on a life of its own,
Getting there thanks to you and others who share their secrets. I would have not clue where to start…just yesterday, I only knew how to draw a polysphere, go into edit mode, turn it into a polymesh, stare at it and think, “Now what???” :stuck_out_tongue:

Step 10 is good, it can also be repeated over and over which is nice, no one wants to do that just once!
That’s a step that should be included in every tutorial…helps the workflow.

LVXIFER made one about how to use the Lasso Selection tool that will change EVERYTHING if you take the time to master it.

Buckling up…it’s going to be a wild ride! =O

re: “the image size thing” …yes, size does matter.

I would love to see those images, especially “BG-SM”, on p.115 printed at least 8x8ft, and
hung in the Getty, the Guggenheim, or Le Louvre!

And I’m just waiting for those eyes to suddenly open wide in “DaV”!!

But I’ll save them to my Desktop anyway as wallpaper.

So many great works of art right here (ZBC)…for free…amazing.

It’s one thing to master the technical details, but the creative part is most illusive for me.

On the Road to Shambala… Yeah!!! :sunglasses:

I like this shape and tone.
It reminds me some metal sculpture.

Last thoughts…the images are as from another dimension, or 100,000 (1 million?) years from now…or ago???

Appears to be a very advanced civilization…humanoid, telepathic…telekenetic?

Would be intrigued to know their origin and story. Could we even understand it???
Visions from an abduction???Awesome creativity! =O

ps- 3rd-ish-SM.jpg makes a great desktop (no icons or folders).

sheesh Mealea I was wondering where you and your magical thread were and bam! Lots of experimentation and fun ideas going on here as to be expected :):+1: hmm my favorites are “woman in a pedestal” Quite a difference from Woman On hehe, The Hmmmmm glowy thing  and your last almost introspective piece. Well done!

and here I thought you had fallen over the edge of the earth.! very nice organic lookin stuff man…you are getting a wider variety of styles…

Feb 3, 2011 page 1…

I have NO IDEA how I did this, after a lot of tutorials that both helped and hindered I gave up and started doing what I do best:
PUSHING BUTTONS!
What a trip!

Lucky for us you actually didn’t give up, but plowed on, pushing, prodding, poking, pulling…buttons, sliders, polys, voxels.

Mind-blowing beautiful art.

I’m still trying to understand what “3rd-ish_SM” and “BG-SM” (p115) are…just “art”?

I’m not sure if they represent creation by an advanced civilization, or the shells of something that was once alive…that they were covered with tissue, like corals.
They could be either in my mind, but alien regardless. Something different to everyone probably. Would love to see a SciFi saga written to explain it…a movie would
be even better.

“DaV” is certainly a queen. I want to see her eyes open, but am also terrified at the thought as well…no whites, just large, black, shiney pupils.
As the camera gets closer, you become aware of a point of light…closer, closer…is there a galaxy inside each?
