Now Im having fun

Here’s a nice video.

An interesting workflow,

I just want to say a few words in processed images, to not miss the magic in talks which speaks only as cover the sun with one finger.Serious gentlemen! No talk of manicure, but if we talk about processes of creation, of new worlds, deep places of the mind. Do not change the line of work, that adjacent branches not confuse the trunk road, which arose from the roots. Mealea strength !!!

Yhago!
You are completely correct!
Why make things harder than they need to be?! Making things easy and making them work better is an excellent goal, and to that end I have deleted some obnoxious software that was slowing me down and making this thread a lot less interesting than it could be. And less fun. I was wasting time and effort on something that is going nowhere slowly.

I love that video, I saw it a long time ago and forgot about it, its lovely and is very much like what we are already doing in the worlds we are doing stuff in. Almost everything in that video is possible now and most of it has already been made, its just a mater of linking the few remaining parts together.
Total immersion would be a blast!

I was going to upload more pictures but they are all to large for ZBC and I haven’t got time to shrink them, besides shrinking them makes them look like crap… blah… that silly 500k limit is… silly.

Cheers Yhago!

Expletive deleted.

Uploading images doesn’t work… I don’t know why

welcome friend,
I thought you disappeared in the deep sea:+1:small_orange_diamond:D;)

I’m so glad to hear from you again!
And because The 500k wall. May the Force be with you!

Ciao,
TM

Thank you PFC!
I did, but it was my idea so its ok!

Awww!
Thanks!
Its not the 500k wall, it just doesn’t work any more and I don’t know why, I tried two different web browsers and no luck…
As for the Force, I want that to work very much, that would be terrific!

Good morning , a few months before my first comment on this Post. fascinated by the magic of Scond Life , I discovered many humans creating interesting worlds , others a replica of what they would like to have and be and others keep their lives as reality.
I have found different tools like " SCULPT MAPS " . As also the ways that we create , and others with blender called MESH, are causing a great change. Many working within just placing textures to primitives , called PRIMS . Systems that generate particle effects and wonderful Scripts, dsndo life and movement to all that is in this complex digital world. All contribute to create a beautiful environment. Although the arrival of MESH being edited , environments , development time , effort in learning, obsolete servers collapse in its architecture. Problems with the image refresh , loss of speed but mostly open doors to creativity. On the one hand Linden labs slow responsiveness by the magnitude of the investment , yielding to the management subsidiaries of sound. Or not antendiendo complaints or requests for people who complain avatars attacks others who think their way to develop alternativity is destroy what others create .
Without being heavy , seems to me that within Second Life a fantastic change is happening comparable , keeping the ratio of the arrival of homo sapiens in their struggle to find a new place in front of the Cro-Magnon man .
Congratulations on keeping this thread

GRIN!!

Good morning to you too!

I found a lot of the same but a while before that.
At first I hated it, I cant describe what it was like other than to say that if you wanted to make stuff you had to deal with “griefers” and people who behave like VERY OBNOXIOUS DOGS you know, the sort that try to grab your leg? Not fun. This led to me finding OpenSimulator very very quickly. Sandboxes in Sl were a horrible place.
SL improved a lot as the Opensource community fixed the viewers and made them not only crash less but run faster and work better, as that happened people got a better grip on the “griefers” and sent a lot of the leg humpers packing.
The creativity in both worlds is staggering, and that is what kept my interest, in both cases for a very long time what you could do with primitives was well beyond what any other 3D program could do and was far easier and on top of that had the added benefit of EVERYTHING being scriptable and interactive. Objects even have physics!!!
I spent a lot of time building in both worlds, OpenSimulator being the better of the two for that but SL having better access to direct feedback as there are a LOT of people around.
The benefits of both worlds outweigh their drawbacks and problems, SL has far more of both but is still a viable world despite being severally limited, you can still make amazing things there. I would but its simply to expensive now, hence Im strictly in OpenSimulator worlds, mainly my own local grid now.
This stuff, I think, is the future of the web, the internet and the display (and storage even) of all types of information.

I think that three of the most important things both SL and OpenSimulator developers need to work on is removing all types of creative limitations, making scripting simple graphical and intuitive, and making the creation and editing of mesh inworld not only possible, but as easy as possible. Next comes making it all fully immersive, but that is already possible and in fact using a little trick called “suspension of disbelief” already in use!

Yhago, we are almost at the point where if we can imagine something we can make it, play with it, become it, and give it to others to do with as they please. THAT is going to be amazing and its STILL just the start.

This thing is GREAT for making insert mesh brushes:

When saving your object change Up Direction to Y Axis.

No need to leave Z to make insert brushes  . Hi there

Cool brush, thanks. Choose from picture? Is that creative?

LOL. Well put. You used tools to make other tools to use with other tools  The tools we have to work with now are so much better than the sticks and stones our ancestors had. More coffee here for sure.

Grin!

Hi Mealea, pardon me for interloping but how do you get that model into Zbrush?

All the best, David

Hya David!
How could you be interloping?!?!

Look at the top of the page, there is a Download Model button, it pops up a window with some options allowing you to save as an OBJ file and to change various other things. Select .OBJ
I change the orientation to Y being up to make continuous tubes like in that example brush.

Also in the tool pallet thingy on the right I turn off Closed Bottom usually, I think I forgot to mention that before.

Im working on cleaning the results up so I can make them weld better but even as it is they come out pretty good.

Cheers!

One other thing, these also could make seriously great MicroMesh brushes as well…

Hi Mealea, thanks so much … when i save out the OBJ all I get is a is a list of what looks like coordinates. That seems to be all unless it is saving the OBJ to somewhere other than downloads. Cheers, David

It Will only let me save a web archive or page source. I must be doing something wrong.
