Now Im having fun

Thank you, its very much fun.
Il tuo inglese è eccellente. Il mio è atroce.
I had to mention you as you caused me to make this and learn how to the point where I could make it, next I will work on alpphas and texturing which I suspect is going to be a bit different.
Also it seems I may have woken the sleeping giant:

Either that or one of us has interesting timing.

I had to look up Almacan but I know of Meats Meyer and since looking up Almacan I am astonished by both.
I know of Mr. Meyer from here because I am infatuated with 2.5D in ZBrush and he did a lot of that, but there is another and utterly stunning (Italian as well interestingly enough) who is doing 2.5D to the point where it almost hurts to look at since I know I cant touch it and that is Francesco Mai, you should have a peek at his work, its magnificent.
Crossing over from traditional to digital there is also Michalis who makes things I could touch IF HE WOULD ONLY PRINT THEM (small subtile hint). Also Glenn who uses ZBrush sculpting to make paintings, something I was not expecting and have found very valuable and fascinating.
I think you are correct about there being a movement of some sort and it is not small, I just know of a small number and am leaving out a great many just from this site since I don’t know how to look them all up.
I think its odd for me to be discussing things like this and I am not an artist and never have been, I have had ZBrush for about a year and a half and Sculptris for about two years and in that time I have crammed so much information into my head I have trouble having conversations with the people around me, they usually have no idea what I’m saying.

GRIN!

Cheers,

ah i know Francesco Mai, cant forget him…he’s doing great things , i love his very high res renders with lots of reflections, caustics etc (incredible)

Oh, thanks mealea, that’s very kind of you.
Your work became complicated for me, but also beautiful.
A new skilled zbrusher you became. I denied it to myself. Looking at your recent art work. I was wrong. Jealous now.
Wonderful work.

wow thanks for the tutorial. I didnt catch Gutalin’s tutorial so thanks for this. I just tryed the first example you gave in the tut, inflation and what not, and its already looking great. Oh yeh I’ve gotta say I’ve been enjoying step 10.

hehehe!
I’m very glad to hear you are enjoying it and that its making sense. Gutalin’s tutorial is directly linked to from the beginning of the tutorial, if you look you will see orange text up there, one bit is his name and that leads to his gallery, the other leads to the exact post he put up that I describe, his is in pictures.

Also step 10 is splendid, step 11 is even better and step 12 has that warm fuzzy glow of spite with a hint of irony.

And to that I say:
Cheers! (hic!)

Michalis, thank you. very very much.
But you cant be jealous of me, I’m jealous of you.

This is silly but its the fastest thing aside from mistakes I have made in ZBrush.

Zspheres directly into that UV process and some mat caps for color:

ZBrush Document.jpg

oh the Zsphere figure is great.

Here’s another cube using the UV procedure. This is some fun stuff.

Funny Cube.jpg
You’ve probably figured out how to get the colors by now. Just ‘FillObject’ with color when you have a single UV group visible and the rest hidden. Keep repeating for more arears of different colors.

Ezra

And now for something completely diferent:

I love Sculptris.

This is not done but most likely never will be.

Screwing around with something I already made.
there are all these neat programs for screwing with images and creating new ones that plug in to Chrome, its quite fun. I think I will make a list of them…

Ooops!

MealeaYing I like this one - it has a painterly feel to it.

Hya Spaceman, and thanks.
I have been fiddling about with web based image editors on in the Google Chrome browser its neat and there is a lot of stuff you can do. The last ones I used a program called Paint.net and this thing:
http://pixlr.com/editor/
And some of their other dodads.

I’m compiling a list of them and will post them all here, some are truly astonishing.

Cheers!

Browser toys, image editors, drawing and paint programs and 3D stuff.

Thanks ZBer!
I made that object ages ago and have used it on an off as a 2.5D brush, now its back to being its own object again…
Its funny how these things work.

Yes and NEVER!
hehehe!
Yes to experimenting and NEVER to getting sleep.

Cheers you guys!
