@Spirit Dreamer:
GRIN! Thanks!
I honestly have no idea how to do the Dali idea other then to cheat and paint clocks on the ends… and I’m not sure that would look all that good.
Its a funny idea though and it gives me another idea which is somewhat different, a wee bit off color, and slightly more Japanese. hehehehe…
I was thinking of putting this in another thread but I would just lose track
of it and it would deadend.
A lot of you like Mahlikus The Black, Corey Schroeder and others have been
making things that I use constantly like brushes and stuff, aside from just
saying THANKS! I thought it would be good to start doing the same.
So, here is the beginning of that, several materials and a brush I just
made, its the first and so far only one I have saved, its rather fun.
Ok here we go… My ineptitude knows no boundaries.

Wow Mealea this last one reminds me of a Fabrege egg! I am going to download your goodies. Thanks for sharing!
Woo, I like that very intricate. I’ll play with those. I lol’d at your file names I mean how could you not download “HalOpenThePodBayDoorsHalICantDoThatDave” ?
GRIN!!!
The other ones have a name that I gave them a while ago, since then I have learned that it does not just mean jellyfish mermaid, it has other more horrid meanings courtesy of the nasty side of the internet… Sigh, people can make anything into filth I suppose.’

These are mind-bogglingly good!
Thanks for the brushes & materials.
Thanks for never stopping exploring.
In the beginning and highest frustrating moments in learning zBrush, when I thought buying zBrush was a waste of money, endless learning a waste of time, your art always gave me hope.
Now I am having fun too
Mealea…small_orange_diamond:)
I wonder what would happen if you turned that female figure posted above around so it could be seen from different angles,…and then overlap the different views of her ontop of each other…Would give a great sense of movement and motion in motion I think,…especally if you changed here pose a little from it’s original pose,… .with each overlap that you put onto the canvas…Just thinking out loud here…
Great progress in your experiments and explorations…as always…small_orange_diamond:)
WOW - another freaky works from You - really amazing… small_orange_diamond

i like the Female picture a lot -
Holy cow – how did you do it -
its look fantastic.
Please explain maybe you would …
@cl-apps:
hehe!!!
I get a kick out of the fact you like those ones, I love your stuff for what I would bet is the same reason, thank you very much!
@Knacki:
I am very very glad you like them, but I am far more glad you stuck through the hard part, it was awful wasn’t it?
Sometimes I thought I would go nuts; like the bad sort of nuts complete with rubber rooms and lower eyelid twitching.
Its funny that they tell you before you have Zbrush that it is intuitive, its only intuitive long after you learn the how and most importantly WHY of things.
The experimentation did two things: it kept it all fun, and it kept it interesting, with out that it would be a dry useless ability. There is nothing as puckerd up as a tutorial about initializing a primitive when all you want to do is make mushy blobs that look like stuff.
@Spirit Dreamer:
That is one of the things I was going to do and not just with 2.5D, but I lost the model when I used the deformation pallet to twist it a bit, now I’m making another… I’m not good at making people yet but I’m making a lot of them and they are slowly getting better. Your boxers are why that is posed at all, its the second thing that has worked (it was NOT easy). I was watching you bend the boxers all over the place and I figured I better bloody well learn from you and figure out how you were doing that.
So… THANKS!!!
@Yoogy:
GRIN!!!
Thank you!
Part of it is your doing, watching your thread in the Sculptris section has taught me a lot about what looks good and why.
Basically what I did was make a sphere (this can be done in Sculptris or Zbrush) and yanked and tugged on it with the Move tool (Grab tool in Sculptris)
Then when I had a sort of passable figure I bent it around in Zbrush using the transform tools (thanks to listening to Spirit Dreamer). I think that I could have done the same things with the rotate and smooth tools in Sculptris but I was listening to music and doing that and running Sculptris like that makes my computer mad at me.
So after a while I had a crappy looking figure and for some reason I hit Extract (one of my favorite buttons (I do that all the time)) in the subtools pallet, that made a new nice smooth mesh out of my lumpy bumpy person.
After doing that I was stuck so I did what I always do, screwed about with things in this case I used the person I made as a 2.5D brush and had a LOT of fun with it (this was also inspired idea wise by Spirit Dreamer’s stuff).
There is a possibility I have a video of making it, I have been recording a lot of stuff now that I know how and if I do have it you can see most if not all of the whole process… when I have some bandwidth to burn, in the mean time I have to see if I even still have it!
I was listening to 801 Live at 200db so I more then likely I named it something related to that… hmmmmm…
I think this is the original before doing the extract, I do know its the first example of posing that was not a total disaster.
The next two are 2.5D stuff made with the new one I’m making… (EDIT: I was not the one I thought it was, if I still have it its lost in the mess)
This is the first time I have seriously tried to make a hand, dynamesh is not making it any easier but its still fun:

Could someone delete this post please? I cannot fix it, the upload scripts are broken again…
Thanks

testing… zbc is being a snotgurggle… [[EDIT: YAY!!! ZBC image uploader works again!]]
An object I made in Blender and rendered in Zbrush.
I think I need to dig into Blender more, I want to be able to make people and animals and make them run around in a world using the keyboard like the way games work.
Blender is easy to learn and simple to understand somewhere in a frozen hell in which pigs can fly.
Some sculpting practice, learning to pose things better and make cloth just to try out some new tools that I dont use much.
This is a… thing… yah! thats what it is…
Screwing about trying to make large looking stuff:
More depth… I think it looks bigger but I’m not sure, Zbrush has weird depth to me for some reason, this is cranked all the way up.

Fun with colors…
And the destruction of a dynamesh:
GRIN!!! I did it this time!

Hi Mealea, That doesn’t look like fun! :lol: Cheers,David
hehehe!!!
It was fun, in fact it was awesome, that is… well was one mesh, it was GOING to be a lot bigger and more complicated when the bloody holes sprouted up.
Thinking I was a clever little bitch I decided that using the “close holes” button would be a very smart thing to do much to the disgruntlement of my entire computer and everything running on it (perhaps there were a lot of holes?!?!).
Then, and this is the fun part, as one thing after another crashed in the background I took its picture and pasted it into MSPaint!
At about that time everything was going haywire and I was forced to hold down the power button to force my computer to reboot and when it had much to my delight I still had my little snapshot AND and a recovery file that had nothing to do with this crash but an older and more interesting one.
What I love the most about it is how polite the error message is, I thought that was charming!
Classy stuff from Pixologic.
2.5D stuff, I have decided that the thing of the month is the cloning tool, I LOVE THIS THING!!!
The last one is a continuous texture, Marcus is amazing.

Fantastic…small_orange_diamond:)
The 5th one from the bottom post…Reminds me of when I was a kid and I would put a magnet beneath a piece of paper with a little pile of dirt on top of the surface of the paper and make the iron in the dirt stand up and move around on the surface of the paper…I used to make whole armies made up of iron particles colide with each other while using two magnets…Spent hours in my backyard amusing myself, while using what was free,.which is,… my own imagination :)…in those pre…computer days of my childhood…Funny how some images spark ancient memories…:D:)
Hi Mealea,
I especially love the last two … the creepy crawlers in the forest and the “Middle Earth” thingamabobs! Keep pushing that envelope. :lol: Cheers, David
