THANKS!!!
I got it instantly, very easy!
Straight Zbrush:
Color levels balanced out, I should correct the background color to match ZBC… But I’m lazy!
This is very very cool! Thank you again!!!

Awwww… Thank you, but you and Michalis inspired it!
yup thanks for prompt reply & It was pretty easy !
Hey…Mealea…You did it…
Now you have another trick in your bag of tricks…
You know…That bottom post almost reminds me of one of those lion fish…the ones with the long spiked fins sticking out all over the place…Push that a little further, and I think you would have one…but just don’t pick it up…those fins are poison tipped…but i’m pretty sure you know that.
Might look good swimming next to your coral…I don’t even think that eel would be hungary enough to mess around with it…
@Kevin Cartter: Huh??? I am not sure who you arre, but thank you I think!
@Spirit Dreamer:
Thanks again for that!
Its amusing you mentioned them, Lionfish have been introduced here and are considered to be an invasive species. Personally I think they could be a much needed threat to humans and perhaps need some encouragement. Keeping people off the reef here could be the difference in saving it and it being irrevocably dead in the next few years.
I see the resemblance you are talking about, that very funny!. The right alpha on the snake hook brush maybe…
Hi MealeaYing,
Some of your latest works are really good, I love some of them!!!
They are all special but some of them are my taste so I like them more…
Hi Melenea… Sounds like you could be right on both counts…Poison definitly has it’s advantages…fear of it being one of them…Maybe some Stone fish added to the mix…harder to see= more fear of it.
I was thinking the same thing about that snake hook brush when I mentioned that lion fish to you…Great brush for that kind of stuff…maybe used in conjuntion with those topology move brushes if it’s still able to be in edit mode as a 3d tool…Otherwise, the snake hook and the smear brush in the 2.5 brush kit used in conjuntion will probably do just fine to make those pointed poison tipped fins…Would be my guess anyway…
@YKatz:
Awww… thanks!!! And now I’m curious, but not sure if I should know which ones.
I have noticed something however; looking to see if you have posted your own work I have not yet found any, but what I have found might be better: You have a 100% rate of saying nice things to people about their work and I think that is a very good thing.
@Spirit Dreamer:
Well… your tutorial led to something different as usual, and that is looking at colors which for some reason Zbrush is better at than any program I have ever used and I have used quite a few… This is not a fish but its a bunch of colors I like and oddly enough it was both easy and rather tricky to make… The tricky part was stopping before it was too late.
Thanks Mealea
Good job on noticing (this says something about you too
)
I have not posted or barely made anything in ZB or Sculptris but have been following the forum and sites like cgtalk for a few years to see good works…
I enjoy art. I made some things in 3D (IMVU if you know that chat program), and I also do things in 2D art programs like photoshop. haven’t been commercial with it yet though except for IMVU.
Thanks for being interested.

Peachy…
ok…
this is another test
Hi …Mealea…Hey…Nice job on that crystal.…You have the shape down perfect…Just a matter of getting that rich deep translucent color and light effect,…where the light and colors emminate from within…Luminance…as in a Da Vinci painting…where the light and color relect back out from within:)
Also wanted to thank you while i’m here, for that link you gave me to those Chinese figures, and sculptures…Great and inspiring works there…Thanks small_orange_diamond:)
Thanks and your welcome and um… well, I have no idea how to do that, the crystal one is the first thing I have managed to do that actually makes use of the light pallet but it didn’t do much aside from not turn everything black which was an improvement, I dont understand the light pallet at all. The other thing is I can not make anything transparent except with that ghost thing or what ever its called and that is not exactly what I am after to say the least… thats not its intended use either I suppose. I need to look that up I guess…
Anyhow, heres two new things, One is just playing with subtools, they are still a nightmare but I’m slowly getting the hang of them, the other one is a continuous texture just for the hell of it, I managed to get it warped around a sphere and used it as masking to make a rather neat thing but Zbrush crashed so I lost it. That happens about 8-10 times a day if I am seriously digging into things. It turns out that the 20th is now some time in the next week so the wait goes on for new things to dive into and I am all out of fingernails.
now… if I can remember how this accursed new upload thing works…
TopMod and Sculptris, rendered in Zbrush:
TopMod used as a 2.5D brush in Zbrush to make a continuous texture
At least I never have to worry about too many icons appearing in the thing on the front page.
Ok its official!
I like the silly new icon thing for the main page, I can stick ANYTHING I like in there!!!
Its great!
This is so much more fun then the old one, the old one was static and left no room for being a nut, now however I have COOKIE MONSTER in there looking out at the lot of you and being generally enthusiastic!
Oh and THIS GUY: is fantastic!!!
Two great features in one fell swoop!
Hi …Mealea…:D…Love that cream colored off white one with a tad of orange color in it posted above…
http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?8397-Tutorial-Transparency-And-Shadows
I found this post that may be of use to you somewhere along your journy…Link is above…Enjoy :)
Yes, you could have Cookie Monster there… if you’d made him. The policy (as written to the right of the icon upload) is that the icon does need to be relevant to the thread.
I’ve had to change the thumbnail – it will update the next time the forum does its clean-up routine. He was fun while he lasted, though.
ohhh! love the sand/bone colored thingy and the crystal you posted earlier is great, it just need a little translucency.
peace
nice, this thread has moved along really well over the weeks.
really love these great job
GRIN!!!
Cookie Monster is ALWAYS fun!
You know this means I have to make a cookie monster now right?
hehehehehehehehe!
