Real cool looking model Nick :). It looks like Verold has some work to do as far as presentation goes, as your image has some very weird discoloration and is also really stretched out. I like that with p3d, I can just change the px number in the embed code and have the embed display change size however I wish without actually messing with the model display.

Glad to see you’re experimenting further though!

Currently on my i-pad can’t see it.
will have a look at it tommorrow on my officecomputer.

Can you also show some animationloops with it?
that would be awesome.

Guess that I’m on a mac using Safari, I’m not invited to this party. Well, it’s Verold, what else can I expect.

At least there’s other, more platform/browser agnostic 3D viewers on this thread. What’s the deal with Verold? I thought they had done the hard work on Safari and just activated the Developer->Enable OpenGL menu?

What I could see of the model, distorted as it was, looks good. Wish I could see a plain ol’ 2D picture of it, I do like your work, Nick. Just not with the Verold sauce. :frowning:

Great Model, Nick. I’ve always liked your models and style aswell, its very solid. good job :):+1:

Thanks for the feedback Nick.

We’re working on the next rev of the embed widget; that will not only incorporate features from our full runtime (ability to see the model in wireframe mode, toggle effects), but also give you more control over the thumbnail and aspect ratio. That’s coming soon.

The Studio works well in Safari, so long as you’ve enabled WebGL. But unfortunately there is no iOS support for WebGL so it will not work on the iPad. As mentioned earlier, we’re looking into fallback options for the widget on iOS; we can’t give you a 3D experience, but certainly can do something faux-3D.

We’ll get answers to your other questions on fog and background color on our GetSatisfaction page:

Can,t see any of this on my computer in 3D.

Doubleclick is not working.

Link to verolds cryptic siide is not working anything. Expl 9 on win 7

Do they really want to force me into these datakraken like Google and facebook and such
before they tell me anything really informative?
That doesn`t appear very trustworthy to me…
especially since we are waiting for Qeremesher since half a year without anything really insight up to now.

Sorry, if I sound kind of negative about this presentation but that`s in fact my impression on first contact.

Maybe somebody around here can teach me better.

on the other hand this example here I can watch:

http://p3d.in/mbZOv

On second thought: Why not use something like unity webplayer for this. I think as long as you can`t not add some (interactive) animation,
walkloops, swordswish, cardoorclap etc. this whole thing is not that fascinating…

Jake,

Try the site on Firefox, Chrome, or Safari. We’re still a bit rough around the edges, having just come out of our closed Alpha. But when you see the way we can make your models look, live in 3D on the web, I think you’ll be impressed. Our UX will catch up; you’ll see major improvements next week, and every week after that.

In the meantime, it’s really worth taking a look now – in the few days since launch we’re already being used by some phenomenal artists. Check it out, studio.verold.com

On the QRemesher, I know that a lot of you are waiting for this. All I can say is that you will have it soon, and the wait will have been worth it. We’ve been working really hard on making it faster, more intuitive, and more full-featured. I have no doubt that this is tool that will become an essential part of your toolkit. And you’ll have it very soon.

Hi Ross,

Thank you for your quick answer.

I managed to see it now in firefox and it really looks great and runs smoothly.
(Great model naturally also from Nick!)

Your login page is a bit cryptic, I have to say. Could well drive people away in my opinion.

So what`s your future plans for this. Will it become some kind of “web-marmoset” in the long run?

I would love to be able to do things like in this example with my animated gifs at the top of the page:

http://www.jostkeller.de/marinavonsee.de/3DModelle.html

(so do you plan to add some minimal animation capability and interactivity?)

Looking forward for that and Qremesher.

Thank you and keep up this great work

Jake

Here is a new series of videos that I created to show students How To Concept/3D Sketch Inside Of ZBrush.

These series of video’s will lead you through the creation of this model:

ConceptingInZBrush_FinalModel.jpg

The first video will cover the concepts behind 3D sketching/concepting in ZBrush.

[vv]46229347[/vv]

This video will talk about ZBrush projects, how to load them and how to load a new dynamesh project using lightbox.

[vv]46229683[/vv]

This video will take a look at how to navigate in ZBrush. This is video for the beginner ZBrush Artist. There is something at the end of the video for the more advance user. (How to barrel roll you canvas.) Hold Shift and move your mouse/pen cursor left and right and then let go of shift to invoke the barrel roll of your canvas.

[vv]46229992[/vv]

This will be the first brush introducing us to brushes in ZBrush. We will be looking at the move brush, how to change brush size and also how to store hotkeys for our brush.

[vv]46230236[/vv]

In this video we will go over the basics of dynamesh, how to load it and how to change the resolution of our models geometry.

[vv]46231197[/vv]

In this videos we will discover the power of using masks in ZBrush to aid in the sculpting process.

[vv]46231426[/vv]

In this video we will look at the standard brush in ZBrush. We will also look at lazy mouse to produce very clean strokes.

thanks for sharing nick!

Awesome stuff, great to see new stuff from you  :+1:

Very generous. Thank you!

A most welcome contribution to the ZB community. These should go in the ZClassroom.

Thanks very much.

This is super great! Love the videos… they are very instructional and easy to follow! Great!!! :+1:

This is just GREATTTTTTTTT:D thank you very much for your time and afford!!!
gr. Silberdenar

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I know that these are more of a beginner type video series, but they are leading up to something that I will deliver that will be much more complex. I want to show different techniques for geometry/sculpting creation in ZBrush before I dive into deeper more complex subjects.

If you know of anyone that is starting out in ZBrush, please point them this way.

I do have some more videos for this series before it is done, I will be showing how to use shadowBox, mannequins, Creating custom brushes (and icon), the trim dynamic brushes, and also how to set up and use the imagePlanes plug-in.

I really feel if you learn how to use this limited tool set, there really isn’t anything that you wont be able to concept out.

Peace!

Can’t thank you enough Nick :+1:…You are a Great Teacher, and I really can’t express in words how much these latest tutorials that you’ve created have helped me to get a clearer picture in my minds eye of how these amazing new features within ZBRUSH work.
So once again Nick …Thank You So Much for taking the time out to teach and share the knowlage that you’ve gained … , and of course as goes without saying, to Share some of what you have created…Thank You Nick…Very Very Much Appriciated :):+1:
Glenn

Thanks SpiritDreamer!

I love the new updates to ZBrush 4R4. I just had to try out this new meshInsert brush with a curve. So I made a custom brush that is a tech tentacle thingamabob.

I thought I would share with you artist out there. It would be cool if we had a matCap like sharing area for all the cool brushes that people make.

Finally ZBrush has brought true kit bashing to the digital age! How cool is that?

P.S. Just wanted to tell Mike Pov. thanks for all the ZClassroom video’s. These are really well done and I am learning a ton from you! Thanks to the Zcrew as well, amazing update! Thanks for all the hard work and dedication!

Great stuff Nick! Thanks for this. I’m really looking forward to going through all these videos.
