looking nice! the depth and contrast in the feathers may want to be pushed a little, i dk how well the grooves will read form far away. keep it up though!
great sculpt there… but since youre copying for a “copy” of the original: theres 2 things that jump to my attention:
wtach the bend in the wrist… and the curve in the hip… attached a pic that i hope makes it clear.
still a great sculpt… keep it up!

@mdale13 Thanks for the feedback. I agree, check the up!
@Stefanuto Hugs back at you!? Thanks!
@Gunnahan Thanks for the paintover. I appreciate it!
Well, made some more progress. Added Volume to Perseus’ hair, worked up the sword, fixed the hand and added some curve to the external oblique. I still need to fine tune, I am working up the whole before detailing each subtool. So, befor I get into too much more detail on perseus, I have to work on the anatomy of Medusa, work on her hair(snakes) and neck. Thanks for checking in guys, more updates to come! I love working out anatomy!
FYI- I am also using anatomy books for refs because the views that I have are limited.
Worked on Medusa’s corpse, drapery and the squiggley bits coming out of her neck. I also double checked the anatomy insertion points, bony landmarks and direction of muscle groups with some anatomy reference based on feedback from a colleague.Sculpted the feathery parts and detailed the sword too. Thanks for looking! I still have to work on the hands and feet and make another overall pass or two:) .
Coming along VERY nicely. I always enjoy the works of old masters
and you integrated my hints perfectly… very well done… keep it up!
ooh how i love the wings on his feet
This is great.
The right flank pad could have more thickness or fleshiness at the bottom, it looks a little flat.
Keep up the good work.
@Gunnahan Thanks for your feedback! Much appreciated!
@UniversableThanks for you feedback too! I will address that area again. Thanks! I flattend it a bit because I was trying to get the underplane correct. I must have neglected to reinforce its volume. Nice Catch!
no doubt. yeah, previously it had the right thickness but didn’t look right. Now, the shape or underlying structure looks correct but like you didn’t add the flesh back over it.
More working on Perseus. Today, I did his hands and feet. I also addresed the issue with the external oblique on his right side. Next is medusa’s hands and feet. thanks for looking!

Just keeps getting better…magnificent!
The breasts should sag towards the neck. Gravity!
@Rory_L Thanks. I sphereized them and didn’t put them back in place.
Here is another update. Thanks for looking!

Really nice! I specially like his back. Maybe the face needs some improvement? Keep up the great work!
@tommywan Thanks! One of my students informed me that he saw the cellini sculpture in Assassin’s Creed 2. I love that the game is set in during the renaissance. I totally agree about the face.
Here is where I am currently. I added some noise and did some more tuning.

this is looking really nice, matt. the time you put into it is very evident.
Hi. I think you should put a bit of work into the cube they are on. Making it look like rock with imperfections and pieces missing.
Great job man! A nicely lit presentation render of the model would be awesome.
