Nice sculpt. keep it up

Body hair! Just made me realize we almost never see any, on the thousands of male sculpts here on ZB… it’s as though everyone waxes religiously. I’m really liking how the sculpt looks so far, can’t wait for the recording.

haha thanks, body hair for this guy was def part of the character :stuck_out_tongue:

I added a video of the sculpting process of the body in the post.

really nice, and thank you for the video. Great reference. I cannot see the material you are using, is it your own material?

@terold: zbros clay material

added pore detail and revamped a lot of things, did a texture on him, but in the end decided to go with the clay render.

The pose and the facial features are really awesome. So well-done!

Great anatomy, for sure. I would work more on the hair and the beard. I mean, the muscles are “soft” (for the lack of a better word) and the hair seems to me not that consistent. Just my opinion. You’re way way way better than, just stating my opinion.

Hey, this is a fantastic looking print. You are an excellent character sculptor. I really like your work.

I am interested in doing sculpts for miniature gaming and they will be about that size, maybe a bit smaller. Can you tell us where you had that printed?

Thanks.

Edit: There was a picture attached when I submitted the post, I swear…

I was referring to the monster sculpt you had printed in clear and partially painted black.

thanks all, @emills: I had a friend of mine who owns a small toy company out in the UK run some prints for me. I forget what he used to print
but it was a service that he rented time on their new machine to try. I’ll try and get some info.

I’m going through my portfolio and rerendering some old pieces. Some of you might remember this old guy from back in zbrush 4r2 beta,
it was hour sketch from a sphere and then another hour for texturing. used to test the first release of dynamesh

Great work!! :+1:

thanks man!

having some fun with the rerender of my militant image. I’m liking the way this one feels, sort of dark and eerie

Want to learn how I did this? Heres a sneak peek at an upcoming tutorial I did for Digital-Tutors. A while back I did a real time survivor rendered in marmoset (if you look through about 4 months ago you’ll find it, or just look on my blog) a lot people liked it and wanted to know how I went about doing it. So around that time I was also looking for an idea to pitch digital tutors and so I figured why not. This is the character I did for it (its much simpler than the other survivor for teaching reasons). It uses the same process as the other guy, so you’ll see how I speed sculpt as well.

and this is a realtime render from marmoset
