heres a sea monster I did in about an hour and half. Just trying to play with forms. seeing how something could be huge and yet feel seaworthy

Nice chimp.Well done.

The chimp is cute and very well done.
Congratulations.
Very interesting thread. Lot of good sculpting.

Great chimp and the sea creature is awesome as well, lot of talent here! :+1:

@monstermaker:much obliged mister Baker, humbling to hear from you

michalis thanks

cydethan thank you kindly

decided to do a long overdue update to my realtime survivor (one of five) I got him in marmoset and I’m liking the way its turning out

tweaked a bunch of stuff

did some rerenders, added some fur, and tweaked curves.

I am loving this last one!
Amazing!

Cheers,

Hristina

Quite handsome, this gentleman chimp. Excellent.

Very nice!! You may have said this already but did you retopo your sculpt? What are you using to render the model, ZBrush or a 3D package?

Great work as ever anyway. Look forward to seeing more.

mogglin I did indeed retopo the chimp as I do all my models. texturing was done in zbrush and photoshop, and rendering was done in Keyshot and vray (for fur). I used Topogun for topology (always) I really stand by it and use it for everything both realtime and non (film). as for the texture heres what the diffuse looked like:
100 percent crop:

just something to get my hand back into personal work. I haven’t really done any sculpting in almost a month, so I’m just getting back in the swing

Great Stuff, looking forward for more.

Beyond a few tutorials I have coming out I realized I haven’t actually recorded one of my sculpts in a while (well I haven’t sculpted in a while haha) so I blocked out something from a cylinder, still super rough about 1hr 45min so far, it could be fun if I give it a few more days, I’ll post the entire sculpting process to youtube when I’m “done”. you can full screen it to see it better. like I said still really rough

Awesome work!

That torso’s looking great. Can’t wait to see the sculpting process!

love that chimpanze, very good. only a little distracting are the reflecting planes in the eyes. (emitter planes?) other than that, inspiring great!

dope sculpts
looking forward to the tutorials!!

thanks for labeling the “peepee” on the zombie boy that answered a question I had earlier

thanks for the comments guys

mucking around a bit more with that sculpt Idk if I like the direction, but its sort of like a human logan. want to gruff him up some more, its still really rough, need to figure out high frequency forms and such.

and heres a video of the sculpting process
