nerveinks sketchbook

Thanks for sharing the tutorial link, also those last sketches are very good,I like the freedom of linework :+1: :+1:

Awesome sketches! Gives me more incentive to work harder.

thanks guys  and nellement:no prob man. i suggest you browse thru the entire gallery. you will find a lot of treasures im sure!

alright so last night i started working some more on the character, i wanted to get a 3d visual of what the guy might look like. I used a generic base that comes with the mudbox 2009 trial version. i just exported it as an obj and started sculpting away in zbrush and added as much bulk as i could without making this guy look unrealistic. the head is a generic head mesh that came with crysis mod sdk.

after i decide on just how exactly how buff this guy will be and his posture, facial features etc… im gonna build the base mesh in maya, then back to zbrush. I might use this guy here as a template, but yeah, more to come. c and c welcome and appreciated

Hey man, looking great, interested to see where this one goes.

hey carlos!

wow! good progress.
how much of the head have you sculpted and how much was from the sdk?

ps. love the loose sketches.

rasmusW : hey thanks! well the head is just a low poly model i used as a place holder, im going to model the head from scratch in maya.

cemond: thanks

hey everyone, just wanted to post some progress on my secret agent character,
the mgl is almost done and will be moving on to the other weapons and gadgets.

btw just wanted to add that the heat vents on top of the barrel was my design
feeling pretty cool about that. i think the vent holes might be to small though…

mental ray with sss shader.

Looking great nerveinks, it reminds me of the Demonman gun from TF2

:+1: :+1:

Cool weapon, like the character model very much too!! :+1: I’m actually working on a weapon for my character, do you have any tips for detailing it in ZBrush, since I still find it hard to do mech stuff in ZBrush?

spimmy: thanks! well as far as advice for modeling mechanical stuff. id say the best thing to do is get a copy of maya personal learning edition and learn it. for me zbrush is too difficult to do non organic stuff with.

cemond: haha thanks man! you know ive never played tf2. is it any good??

hello again, almost finished with another asset. this time its the rpg that the secret agent has on his back, im pretty sure im still gonna do the pistol and the ak, but he still needs something real techy, like a cool gadget or something… i was thinking of maybe a female helper bot… any ideas guys?

wow cool sketches:+1: :+1:

Your work is looking great! I love the hammer dude! Peace!

Don’t worry man, they look great! The longer you hold them on your hd the harder it is to let them go.
The anatomy looks pretty solid and I like the way you finished the surface

Working on a lot of great stuff! All of these look outstanding in their current state, I look forward to seeing these develop. Very clean and well executed sculpts. :+1: I admire your work.
