as far as tutorials, id recommend gnomonology and eat 3d classical sculpting.
those sites have some good anatomy stuff and will give you a big boost in inspiration

alright so i decided i would post something again. . Im working a full time job and restoring a classic car so its hard to juggle 3d and life right now. I always find some time to get down on some 3d though so little by little, these projects are nearing completion and soon I will make my big post. 
this is a lil project of a an idea i had in my head for a while now. I always loved anime and akira was one of those animes that really sticks in my head. the bike, the big chamber that akiras body was held in. that stuff is very bad ass and i always wanted to do somethin with the akira bike.
the bike i have here is somethin pretty close to akira i think, the “story” behind this bike is that it was built in a time just before transportation took that big step into the sci-fi. where they start having crazy engine technology and that stuff. this bike here has a 4 cylinder motor but it has a centrifugal supercharger between the motor and the wheel. its kinda still possible to build i guess since it doesnt have any hi tech gadgets or crazy electromagnetic thingy controlin the bike. just good ole metal and oil baby lol. well this model is far from done and needs tons of refinements. some of the parts are from sketchup models so that i could finish the proxy ( which you see here) so re modeling and doing the uv are on the definet to do list.
the design though is totally original. no other bike like this.
next post it will be done fully lit rendered and textured. also will have a girl riding the bike with some big guns!! guns are done. need to model the chick and pose on the bike which is another big task… work work work… ;(
