Making Time For Art #4 - "Clay Time"

I agree, I doubt there is going to be 64 bit, and new retopo, after all its a revision of Zbrush 4, these added features are more v5, and im sure there would have been a video or two showing this.

One thing that I really would appreciate is when a releases are due, a fix list is available, as to many im sure this is even more important that additional features, new toys are the added benefits in my mind.

In either case there is no room to complain, but only to express a opinion, because these updates are still given for free!, if that was Maxon, we would be paying a good sum for this.

But there is probably a better place for you to go promote it

To promote it? What are you saying…
Do I promote zbrush when keeping people in 3dc forum informed about the new releases of zbrush? If you watched this video, the main work is done in zbrush.
The only I “promote” some times is sculptris but it doesn’t count

But all these wows as is the first time we watch such workflows… watch the video I posted.
when r3.5 was for windows only, I just bought 3dcoat (mac build) and started working with these two apps. Add sculptris and blender on these and this is my workflow for concepts. I don’t wow, just waiting to put new release to tests.

I may start wowing if pixologic could inform us a little more. Can we use this tool on a imported mesh? How much density is supported? What’s the technology behind this? Why the poly counter refreshes from time to time?
But it’s pixologic, they like and know how to build myths.

Well, I have read a post in another zbc thread by a guy who claims to have been at siggraph this year and says the Pixo sales reps have stated that its 99% certain that R2 will be 64bit. Soon we’ll see!

You know, when things begin to pick up this video… I thought to myself… “This is beyond clay. This is something else. Something much much better.” That you didn’t just meet everyone’s expectation but you completely shattered them.

Nice job guys. I am not at all surprised that you’ve out done yourselves, and once again, reset the bar for us all.

This was the impression everyone got with the release of zbrush 4 aswell…because even the beta testers(can’t remember who) said zbrush 4 is going to be 64bit when asked the question. But in the end it was still 32bit.

Hmm, would be a real let down if it wasn’t. Still an awesome tool, but the powerful Zbrush core would be unstoppable if it were able to harness 8gb or more of RAM…Anyway, long live Pixologic!

stunning, nice video, good job :+1:

Five more days to go. Nice to see the previews et all, but wouldn’t be nice to get something like a list of new features, at least a partial one ? Can’t wait.

Very soon you will get a FULL list of features AND the ability to try them out! Isint that awesome?

GRIN!!!

It’s like getting free cookies and then complaining you don’t have milk!
IT’S FREE! All you need to do is wait. 5 more days and you will get cookies, pie, cake, and at least a gallon of milk! AND IT’S STILL FREE!!!

“CLAY WITH ME” - i like that a lot… ,

chem!

Nah its more like getting cookies and milk then complaining they make you fat.

That looked more fun than anything I’ve ever seen done with digital art

This sums it up PERFECTLY.
But…
Ahha, it needs an illustration to go with it, something motivational and with the qualities only a photograph can provide:

You can almost taste the happiness!

People on this forum sure do have a strange definition of “complaining”. It was just a simple request for heavens sake. Some of you are waaaaay too sensitive.

Love the picture though, made me lol.

What is Pixologic’s track record for surprises anyways? Has there every been a major feature they didn’t preview in some way prior to release? I know I’d certainly be surprised if we did see any of the feature requests commonly posted on this forum et al. I’ve always felt we wouldn’t see them until version 5.0 at the earliest, and only if we’re all really lucky.

I know the difference. Wasn’t talking about you. Was talking about the principle.

Im sorry, I missed the request, and the last post of yours I saw was cool as hell, you were defending Michalis’s posting of a rather amazing video, so…
Since there was some confusion, you get a big huge cookie the size of a pizza, a huge glass of milk (chocolate if you like) and one of those wicked cool curlycue straws and no one is aloud to give you crap for blowing bubbles in the milk.
(and Im glad you like the picture!)

The 20th cant get here fast enough…
I wonder how big a Zsphere can be…

I pooped myself.

Zbrush … the most fun you can have with your clothes on!

just came from youtube and I was looking for the thumbs up on your post for like 15 seconds.

R2 looks amazing! Everything I was hoping for.
