To be honest though. I’d much rather be posting questions just like, any of those other threads.
Never imagined when I joined this forum. That my first 50 posts would be almost a year later, asking what’s happened to the Mac version.

I didn’t miss that point at all. I’m not endorsing Pixologic’s communications policy; I’m just speculating on what it is I think we’re seeing and why. Frankly, I’d prefer to be talked to, as well, and I think that the companies you cite are doing a better job of communicating. Just because I think I know why a thing happened does not mean I like it. “To understand all is to forgive all,” as my girlfriend used to say… and she was quite wrong.

True enough! And on that note I think it’s unfair to give Aurick a hard time over not replying to this thread. I agree that screengrab speaks volumes but if all Aurick is allowed to say is “We’re very pleased with the Mac development. It’s in the last stages of beta testing and should be released soon!” what is the point of saying anything? Pixologic have obviously decided it’s best to give no info until release or at least until Siggraph so we might as well hug ourselves and rock in a corner for another few weeks! 
Yes, precisely; my point was that we do not know if it will be at Siigraph (ie, that Siigraph will be the “when”).
Its just like when the mellenium Falcon landed on cloud city, Lando seemed pleased to see his old friend and gave the group a tour of his mining facility! Soon after 3PO had disappeared and Princess Leia was uncomfortable. Lando returned and tried some moves on Han’s would be girlfriend and invited them to dinner, they were only to discover that Lando had betrayed them to the Empire. After Han was frozen in Carbonite Lando realised the error of his ways and set in motion a plan to release Leia and the Wookie from the Empire’s clutches. He also helped them release Han and was instrumental in the destruction of the second death star!
So to rationalise, Pixologic may have let us down and tried to steal our would be girlfriends, but they are going to release a blinder of a program…Sometime… After its released from Carbonite!
Oh and all this time the Windows users were getting trained by an excentric little frog man!

Seeing as Han got released from the carbonite (Carbon–>Cocoa… good one ) in the next film (ie version) our speculations that it will be a ZBrush 4 release must be true.
And Han Solo was always way cooler than Luke Skywalker. OSX forever.
Hmm That brings other questions, will ZB 4 Be the phantom menace??? :eek:

I just really hope they can nail a date down soon. I hate to think of how much time I’ve wasted over the last year+ regularly, and obsessively checking this forum several times a day for any kind of news. There’s just no way of knowing whether or not ZBrush for mac will be released this week, next week, this month, this year, next year, or the year 2154. I’m really hoping for SIGGRAPH to be the big announcement of a mac version, but not counting on anything at this juncture. The problem is that the word “soon” in Pixologic’s vocabulary is like the word “smurf” in the Smurf World in that it can mean pretty much anything…

Well I finally gave in. My new boss wanted to try out Zbrush 3, so I traded my Mac license for the PC version… To be honest, I don’t feel relieved. I just want to run it in OSX…
