Surely a high dollar companion will do the trick. We’d definitely have to ask for one that’s savvy …Well…come to think of it…I bet a developer would talk to a bimbo thinking she didn’t know what he was talking about just to impress her. We could just hook her up with a wire. We’d probably have to put it somewhere in her hair just in case so I’d ask for a lady with big hair. Let’s hope one of them (at Pixologic) is single or unhappy (or both).

I can probably only chip in about $20, though. :+1:

Plan B: Let’s go find one of those Hollywood mac users and kidnap them. One with a beta copy of Zbrush 3.x for the mac is probably in their top row.

I agree with you, Darek. Someone needs to be held accountable here. No support is totally unacceptable. They should have listened to the Mac people about posting news after such a poop storm started.

Their choice to develop under no deadlines should have been communicated to us before making the “executive” decision. I think there’s quite a bit that needs to be done in order for this whole situation to be fully rectified. When we all get our hands on a finished product, it better be good or I am giving up on it and going back to flipping burgers…

Now, here’s how we do’s it…And, pays attention both of ya’s, ‘cause I’m only gonna say this once, ya hear?
When the next version of ZBrush comes out, we all’s order several copies right away…Only, it just so happens, we all forgets to send ‘dems the money like, ya git me? Kind of like mass amnesia, or somethin.’
So, we git’s the goods wit’ out spendin’ a dime, see?
When customer service calls, and they will - believe-you-me, to inquires about when payment might be expected to arrive, we do not answer the phone. Ya follow me? We just let’s it ring off the hook for several months, see? Then, when we feels like it, we’s pick up the phone and say, “How you doin’?”, like everything’s just peachy, ya know?
Then when they ask ya’s, “Hey, we’re still waiting for payment, where is it?”
Youse replies, “I’m woiking on it, okay? I mean, give me a break, will ya’?”"
“Well, could you give us an idea when you might send us that money?”
You tells ‘em, "Sorry, bud… Deadlines just aint’ my thing."
I’m tellin’ ya’s, it will woik like a charm! Natch!

Just tell us where you are. Trying to work out bugs in Zmapper? Deciding whether or not to scrap it altogether?

No more of these silly “shooting for the end of the month”. That’s never helpful. It’s little more than a lie anyway.

Please just give an update. How about every two weeks, thursday at 2PM, tell us the very thing you were doing 5 minutes earlier. At least it’s something more useful than a fake release date.

I think they spent that nickle many times over at this point. Pix has made (for right or wrong) the decision to say nothing and accept the consequence of that decision. I don’t think any amount of pleading will change that. They were presumably going into beta on Mac ZB back in March when they called for beta testers. One might conclude that the beta must have not gone all that well since we have seen a single image “created on Mac ZB 3” in the beta images gallery unlike when they were doing the PC beta. It’s just speculation, I know, but I think if they were happy with what they had they would be promoting themselves and their product, not playing around with this cloak 'n dagger stuff.

I ran into a pc lover last night at the movies. He said “Well with my pc I can get all the software I want” “I said oh yeah what software do you use” He said “world of warcraft” and “photoshop” I wanted to slap him put I was in public.

All the good stuff runs on both os x and windows. “Things about how nice XSI would be on his max” sigh… that war was lost to linux.

The only thing we are missing is ZBrush 3.1. Right now I’ll be happy with zbrush 2.85.001 beta.

Well one thing is for sure this has brought us mac users closer, and that can’t be all bad.

And this thread is a nice lil pit to vent into.
Plz don’t close it down. Or I might have to check myself into a hospital.

A quick view plug-in for OS X Leopard would make me forget about all this time waiting. HINT HINT! That would be so kick butt to see .ztl files in the window.

Have they always been this reluctant to communicate with their clients, or is this a new policy of a with pixologic just specially for us who have paid and are waiting for delivery of zb3 mac?

Been keeping up with this thread since it started…just haven’t posted.

I’m a PC user anxiously awaiting the Mac version. I expect to transfer my license to my iMac. I really can’t wait (+1 to the waiting waiting waiting list, pixo…)

I get the feeling that these guys read the thread and are curled over laughing so hard, because when they finally release zB 3 for Mac, it’s gonna be the best release yet, and every negative comment to pixo will be regretful. Sure we’re pissed and sick of waiting, but the anticipation is high.

anyway, just my two little pennies the subject. Can’t wait…but I can live.
