any zb2 tuts out there? they all zb3… damn…??? r the displacements and normal maps the same? …

Any idea when it (mac osx Z3.1) will be ready? patiently Zwaiting Zforever.

There may be some old zb2 tuts somewhere in the depths of the archives on this forum. Might take a bit of searching… lol.

Like you I’m on zb2. I’ve yet to be indulged in the wonders of v3 so I have no comparison. I have the Meats Meier intro DVD and that’s as close as I’ve got

Aurick, sorry for bothering i’ve seen some post on zbrush training and tuts but nothing specific on zb2… do u know of any thread that might help? i’ve seen tons of threads but all are earlier than zb2 or later…

i’d appreciate your help, ty and sorry for the trouble…

BANDD the best ones I know that are still around
are from Gnomon. A couple are sold out, but I
checked and they still have stock on a couple.

They’re not free - but if you need some overview
they can be really helpful. On that note if you can
hold out for v3 there are some better ones around
that might leverage more return on investment.

BANDD, you can also check out www.pixologic.com/docs. The ZPipeline Guides were written for ZBrush 2. Also at the bottom of the Table of Contents page you’ll find a link to the ZBrush 2 Wiki. That section includes things like the Quick Reference Guide and the Practical Guide.

Any news from ZBrush OSX ?

Super Glitcher and Aurick thanks tons i’ll start checking it out now

yay a new toy to play with lol

tnx

GULP… ehem… Aurick… sorry to bother again… just wonderin… i’ve been looking at the offline info doc and downloaded it… turns out it’s a .exe file, and i’ve been looking around but haven’t found any .dmg files for mac… is there any?

Just in case any of u guys know any of the zbrush creaters… give em a huge thank you for this program… i’ve jsut had it for a month or so and compared to maya (modeling of course) it’s b-e-a-u-tiful… if ZBrush could work more as an animation, dynamics program and being capable to handle so many polys at the same time… i’m sure this would be the top software program… just a thought to the zbrush creators: the program as it is (as far as i’ve discovered) is amazing, counting the materials and stuff but the render still needs work and if you could star working on incorporating and animation part… cool awesome indeed…

ofcourse it’s easier said then done LOL

well of to zbrushing again… love modeling in zbrush…

cheers

BANDD, the offline docs are for ZBrush 3, and therefore the PC version. You need the online stuff. Here’s the direct link to the Z2 section: http://www.zbrush.info/zbrush2_wiki/index.php/ZBrushInfo_Home

You CAN download the Practical Guide, QRG, etc., and those are on that same page. You just need Acrobat Reader.

SW :o T ty

ZSilence is golden.

E’r… more like Zfrustrating!

Skullbeast: Hello “wall” how have you been?

Wall: …?

Skullbeast: Great I’m fine, Thanks for asking. How are the Kids?

Wall: …?

Skullbeast: When is Zbrush coming out for osx?

Wall: …?

Skullbeast: Wow that soon! I cant wait! Any other news?

Wall: …?

so it turns out z’Wall was a prophetic album
about mac designers waiting for zBrush?

verrrrry interesting

ooo i need a dirty woman… ooo i need a dirty app… wan na na wang…

{cough}{cough}{stay on topic}{cough}{cough}

errr… we don’t talk about the topic, that doesn’t
work out too well. here we talk about silly stuff like
motherboard batteries, nubus cards and dual
5 1/4" floppy drives

edit
I don’t intend to trivialize the situation, so please
don’t take offense- trying to drown my impatience
with humor. I’d love to have an update, but I think
it’s been made clear that there wont be any more
updates until it’s released (since we haven’t had
a material update since ‘beta’). Only Aurick/Pixo
can truly address the topic at this point, everything
else has been said before. In light of that, we
should try to keep it light and upbeat.

Best case scenario, the next serious thing that
happens here is a release party in my back yard
starring flame grilled moo and some celebrator
dopplebock. mmmmmmm and of course, a whole
lot of zBrushing

GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

  :td:

i don’t know about you guys but this break from zbrush has given me a lot of time to do some catching up with other programs.

i still use z2 but not as much.

its like survival school; finding other ways to do things.

my maya has gotten better, especialy with maya muscle.
i started relearning modo, which had been on the back burner.
i’ve gotten more into developing my skills with mental ray shaders.
and i’ve spent hours buiding environments with terragen 2 prerelease, even better than the original. you’ll find a link to it in the “free bees” thread.

i’ve even taken to doing entire projects without (gasp) a pixologic program being opened.

so while i wait impatiently, i develop new ways to do without.

Same here, it’s just like the old days…
