Is everyone e-mailing Pixologic asking for news?
uh huh… what’d they tell you? I got ‘quite soon’…
I’m still waiting for a reply. Hopefully means they’ve got a lot of replies to make.
If I get the same as you. I might follow up asking them to be more specific
“Are you ready to get DUFFED?”
ps: all we can do is either cry or laugh !
i choose to laugh … no… who am i kidding
Today its a beautiful day, a bit dark and cloudy, Hong Kong is a fresh city, full of crazy guys with a great sense of humor.
Its divided in two places: Hong Kong Island and Kowloon (and New territories), it’s a wonderful place for eating and holidays.
If you are depressed or needs more sleep, you will find islands near HK (Lama, Peng Chow…), more appropriate to have, a rest.
Here, at the gates of China mainland, you’ll have a fine dining experience in the best restaurants and Hotel, too.
If you like partying and wine testing also, it’s a wonderful place.
If you get a broken heart or you need to think to buy a Mudbox or other software to replace Zbrush 2… MAc vers, come in HK and relax for almost 2 years and after maybe you will take another decision… welcome to HK my friends.
Oh yea I forgot, hey Pixolator, you and your MAc team programers are welcome here to take a good rest too.
haha yea lets all move to hong kong and use mudbox! that post cracked me up lol, thank ye
Well if most people are lazy like me they won’t take the time to contact Pixologic so here’s the numbers to make it easier.

I don’t see how that’s going to speed up the proccess of the release. I think they read the thread(s) regularly. This thread alone is enough of a petition to voice opinions. They’ve just chosen to be under the radar for some kind of reason. Either they’re brewing up something crazy or they’re stuck on something difficult. Both could be believable given the type of software we’re discussing here. I don’t think contacting them every time we visit will help the situation. It would really just be annoying, amongst the busy atmosphere of trying to release a new update and all. Although, I do think that phrase is funny. “The squeaky wheel gets the grease,” but only until it gets too loud. Then it get’s scrapped and thrown in the junk yard.
James, I’m not saying it will speed up the release but I think it would be nice and courteous if Pixologic could throw us a bone once in awhile and let us know where their at. I just want Pixologic to give me more information. Just tell us something besides “it will be soon!”
They said “it will be soon” last year and then they said “it will be soon” a few weeks ago. What is soon? Give us some indication of a release date.
What’s annoying is waiting for something with no ETA.
There are actually some people like myself (and others) who need this software for our business and we have heard nothing definitive or even close to it. I don’t know of any other business that could treat it’s customers like this.
I don’t make any apologies for asking people to email Pixologic and politely ask for more information. I purchased this software over a year ago on the assumption from Pixologic that the Mac release was imminent and now one year later, Still Nothing! IMO Pixologic has not been honest or upfront about this whole situation from the beginning. But I digress.
Please email Pixologic!
Maybe they’ve been waiting for WWDC? That would kind of make the day absolutely awesome, with everything Apple is going to be announcing.
http://developer.apple.com/wwdc/
Apples World Wide Developer Conference. Aurick was talking about something extra special for us mac users. I think you’ve nailed it goldleaf. June 9 is not too far away either!
Well t won’t. But that’s not the intention.
We want news on progress. Some facts and explanations. It’s been too long a wait, to expect folk be content with speculation and platitudes.
Well if most people are lazy like me they won’t take the time to contact Pixologic so here’s the numbers to make it easier.
My e-mail response from support. Was along the same line others have had. Suggesting a standard mail out response. ( the quite soon part, is well past it’s sell by date). With no indication at all. That the contents of my e-mail. Had actually even been read. Probably filtered by subject.
If you want your e-mail read. I suggest not putting, Mac or News, in the subject title.
I’m going to try each of the other addresses that Paint Guy helpfully posted. To see if I can get a better reply.
Hmm. I don’t think emailing Pixologic repeatedly is going to help much. You’ll probably get the same response as everybody else has been getting and inconvenience a lot of other people at the same time.
I had to reformat my ppc a few days ago and I’m trying to reinstall z2 right now. So i sent an email to Pixologic about a new license and i’m crossing my fingers about getting it up and running by tomorrow.
I hope i don’t have to blame my fellow mac users for not making a few deadlines. Anyways, if you’re using a mac, you should be used to having late, or in most cases NO mac releases. (If you’re new and have an intel mac then just go install windows and be done with it.) I’m grateful for pixologic releasing ANY version of their software for the mac let alone an up to date version at the same time as the PC one. I was a little ticked off when i didn’t get an upgrade back when the PC folks got one, but i’m thankful for being able to use any version of ZBrush at this point.
OK, it’s pretty late at this point. Maybe by the time i wake up tomorrow i won’t be wanting to build a PC. I just think that we should let Pixologic be… so they can work on the new software (which i think will be awesome).

I wouldn’t want to inconvenience anyone.
I must say. that it’s a bad thing. When a company regards it’s customers, as an inconvenience.
And it’s not a good sign. When customers agree with the state of affairs. Feeling that they have to walk on eggshells with fingers crossed. Over straigtforward, easily resolved issues.
WHAT ?
“funny” images aside
i dont know if any of you noticed but theres a person in this thread here who says he made the model on his macbook in zbrush 3.1… he doesn’t mention dual booting… doesn’t mean he didn’t but still its interesting considering he’s beta tested zbrush before and says he’s gonna be at the pixo booth in sigraph.
wildspeculation*
but hey, thats what this thread is for, innit
Wild speculation, yes… useful information, no.
Agreed, but we paid for it before it was out, so in a way, it’s a little our fault, too.
Myself included.
Assumption is the mother…
Please do not. The important people that we need to hear us read this thread regularly, regardless if they respond. Try starting a new thread asking a question about zbrush workflow and they answer within one day. They read all new posts. Email rioting will not help the situation at all. I’m in the same boat as you, though, so I feel your pain, man!
I don’t think creating an artificial flood is an answer-
but if you feel like you need to email then do it,
you’re a customer or prospective customer - you’re
obviously not getting any information in this thread,
it’s not a big deal. I’ve emailed a number of times
over the last few months and gotten replies each
time, they’re usually the same, but they reply and
on some level that’s personal acknowledgement.
You shouldn’t feel motivated to or not to mail
based on anyones opinions about the company
or their assumptions about the companies
resources. You’re entitled to inquire as you wish.
Do what you need to do.
–thanks for the laugh DT!
