I think by the time they really do release ZB3 for Mac, Blender will surpass it!

I wonder if the rumors are true…There’s a story that the Mac ZB3 development team was in a plane that disappeared somewhere over the Bermuda Triangle? Also, a man in the Himalayas claims he saw Big Foot walking in the woods carrying a large basket full of hundreds of ZBrush 3 for mac install disks. That could explain all the mystery surrounding Mac ZB3’s progress. The truth is out there somewhere…
uh huh & Sully + Moulder are looking for them as we speak… 
Pixologic has also hired Kolchak and Indiana Jones to aid in the search. They’ve spared no expense. :rolleyes:
I don’t know if Indy can survive another adventure…
but I think all things considered we shouldn’t be waiting
too long.
My money is on a 3x release pre-siggraph - and I have
no idea what’ll happen at siggraph, but seeing as most
software companies turn on an 18mo. cycle it would
seem probable to expect some form of paid update
to be released near-then. I’ll go out on a limb to say
I expect it to be dual-platform, and that they’ve
possibly been working on 3.x and (X.x) versions
simultaneously for Mac, as they’ll need a paid
upgrade across the entire platform to continue,
but still need to satisfy the promised 3.x release.

Yeah, you may be right. That will be just great, get an update and less than a month later have a new update to pay for. Guess that’s the way it goes.

People who paid for Zbrush 3.1 on the Mac should be BETA testers. I bought my license months ago thinking that the release was imminent.
I’m afraid if I stop paying attention, the train is going to leave without me. I have to check every day sometimes 2-3 times a day. I bought a Z-Brush video at AKON-19 in Dallas and now I’m really anxious.
Interesting question? Now, I have a hypothetical for you:
What if you heard about this great restaurant that served fantastic food. Then, one night, you see an ad in the paper that says on Tuesdays and Thursdays that restaurant offers a free appetizer with every dinner ordered. So, that Thursday night, you decide to go to said restaurant for dinner.
Upon your arrival, the hostess says the wait is about an hour. So, you sit down, have a drink, and wait. Two hours go by before your name is called and you are finally seated. You order the dinner and the free appetizer. The meal is served promptly and cooked to perfection, but they never brought the appetizer. You try to signal your waiter, but he ignores you. You notice at all the tables around you that everyone else has gotten and enjoyed their appetizer and are starting on their dinners.
You signal your waiter again, but he doesn’t seem to notice you.
Again, you try vehemently to get your waiter’s attention, but he says, “I’m too busy waiting on everyone else so you’ll just have to wait your turn.”
Everyone else has long since finished their meals and are now on dessert, but you are still waiting for that appetizer.
You start to complain loudly, and some loud-mouthed jerk at the next table says to you, “Pipe down over there, will ya for cryin’ out loud?”
“You say, but I still didn’t get my free appetizer, and I’ve been waiting for hours.”
He replies," Hey, It’s free so, what are you complaining about? Besides, every time you bother the waiter, I have to wait that much longer to get another drink."
Finally, after everyone else has left and gone home, the waiter comes over and asks, “How is everything over here?”
Would you be completely satisfied? Would you leave a big tip? Would you recommend that restaurant to all your friends?
Yes, and when I’m telling my friends I’ll remember to mention there’s only two restaurants on the planet.
The one I recommend doesn’t serve suspicious sausages, the tables and chairs float, and there’s a gallery, and everybody dances, and there’s an all you can eat forecourt where you can stuff yourself with roast beef chewing gum and grow into an enourmous blueberry and be teleported by TV and get sucked up a great tube that slooshes up a chocolate river mixed by an amazing waterfall!
Oh! and they build your appetizer molecule by molecule with an electron microscope, and there’s a sorcerer in the kitchen that goes off on magical adventures into maths land and nobody hears from him for months.
