Whining about it won’t get it in your hands any faster. We ALL want it yesterday ( as posted on the front page ) but Aurick has kept us informed and did say that it is a big process to get this done. It IS coming, just be patient for a tiny bit more.

Anyone got the first batch of emails yet?

Aurick did say it wasn’t feasible to give it to everyone on the day and the links will be sent out in batches over a few days on a first come first served basis. That’s how Pixologic operate. We should have all got used to it by now. I have.
I keep checking my emails but when I see I have new messages they are replies to the mac threads on here. Doh!
Maybe it already is; we know nothing. Until someone gets an upgrade link, AND successfully downloads and installs it, all we have are expectations.
I wonder why they didn’t make the release date Oct 1, and then surprise us with it a day early. Much better PR.
They shouldn’t build up any expectations at all. No announcement no nothing.
Then suddenly, one day, there it is. Surprise surprise.
Just like Apple when they release things. No promises. Only delivery.
I know I shouldn’t be expecting much, but the hype is kind of self spawned. So I get myself really excited, and then remember when I bought my Zbrush 2 license, and had to go thru some administrative serial number stuff… so I waited two or three days for them to respond to my e-mail, and it didn’t happen, so I called Pixologic and got a response not unlike “Man, I’m doing my best! I’ll send it over tomorrow!” :rolleyes:

I am in the UK which means I might not see it until thursday at the earliest. Pixologic have a habit of being very unfashionably and annoyingly late. It’s too early to think we’re getting nothing. If no one has it by the end of the week (& installed) then by all means unleash hell.

I think the date is still, the 29th at the midnight between 29th and 30th. The question is: Will they update the page when they release the first batch of updates? Otherwise, there may be people out there with mac 3.12 before they know it.
PS: They didn’t say what timezone it was, did they?
I don’t think time zones matter. It has more to do with moon phases and ocean tides. OR maybe they were busy trying to unload their bank stocks.

I’ve been as vocal as anyone here about delays and lack of communication on Pixo’s part. While I think it was odd, or maybe even misleading that they gave the 29th as the release date, they did tell us in advance that downloads wouldn’t be starting until the 30th, so I’m not sure why people are surprised that the downloads didn’t happen on the 29th. Believe me, I understand the frustration, but I think it’s a bit too early to hit the panic button. Let’s see what the day brings first.
Everyone could go buy Iron Man on DVD and watch that today while waiting for Z3!!
Yes, another thing I’ve been looking forward to today. 
If it makes any difference, I sent my form on August 29th and received my response on Sept 2nd. No download email sent yet. Hopefully I am with the first batch. All is good though, Aurick did say he’d notify us when the batches started to go out.
