Hi, can someone give me a quick heads up. I’ve just looked on the zbrush site and I can’t see zb3 for mac but there are people talking about zb3.12. Has zb3 been released yet, or if not what was the latest announcement. thx db.
You mean the “ZBrush 3.12 – MAC OS X” icon in the top row, or the sticky thread at the top of the Main Forum weren’t enough to catch your eye?

Not to mention the big banner taking up most of the main page at www.pixologic.com, which says “ZBrush for Mac OS X, Available September 29th”
I agree, I thought more info about 3.5 was to be posted after returning from Siggraph. Did I miss some news somewhere?

I’m getting a little confused here. What’s the point of filling out the upgrade form? Aren’t we going to be able to download the new version straight away?
Don’t they know who we are from the serial numbers??

Tee Hee, aparently not. A confluence of events conspired against me. !. I’m on the list for announcements but none arrived, 2 i went to the pixologic site first and now that i have “reloaded unfiltered” I see my ad blocking software nixed the banner. 3 I then came straight here to check and bypassed the main forum. 
OK I’m officially excited.
I am also confused. I really dont know what I am supposed to do, if anything at all…
I bought the mac version when the PC version of 3 got announced - but I dont really see if I am supposed to send pixologoc an e-mail, fill out a form or what !? ?
Well, not wanting to miss out at the end of the month, I filled the upgrade form out. Even though I filled it out recently for the temporary PC transfer. I just put in the notes section that I want the mac version.
I suggest anyone who wants to make sure they get the upgrade to do the same as I’m not sure how finicky Pixologic will be.
I am curious if anyone knows if ZAppLink will work on the Mac with 3.12?
I am hoping to be able to use Painter with ZBrush on my new MacPro.
Well, just my uneducated guess, but 3.1 on the PC has it so 3.12 mac should have it also. There was no problem using it with version 2 on the mac so I don’t see why it won’t be in this release. Maybe ZMapper will be included also!

What is the point of the upgrade form?
Isn’t that for the mac to pc zbrush?
If I have zbrush 2 I’m eligible for the z3 upgrade. Pixologic’s mac zbrush page doesn’t say anything about that so I’m guessing I don’t need to fill the form.
Aurick care to enlighten us on this issue?

"This email is to notify you that we’ve received your RSVP for ZBrush 3.12 on the Mac. Your upgrade will be processed once the new version has been released on September 30.
Upgrade links will be sent out in batches, in the order in which the requests have been received. Do not panic if someone else receives an upgrade link before you do; for technical reasons it will not be possible to issue all of them simultaneously. We will, however, process all upgrades as quickly as possible.
We will contact you again should additional information be required. Otherwise, simply relax and wait to enjoy version 3.12 once it has been released!

you wind up at the bottom of the pile guys & Gals! The rest of us will be churping on how wonderful finally and you’ll still be at the bottom of a very large pile. The number of mac user runs in 5 figures.
Everyone who wishes to receive the upgrade should fill out the form. This allows you to be added to the list of people who will be upgraded starting on the 30th.
Not everyone will receive the upgrade on the 30th. The upgrade links will go out in batches, based upon server capacity. Those who filled out the form first will be in the first batch, and we’ll proceed in chronological order from there.
The PC upgrade was the same way.
I’m about to buy ZBrush version 2 (so I can then get the free 3.12 upgrade), but I have an Intel Mac, so version 2 will not be much good to me until the upgrade arrives.
Judging by the amount of pre-orders and the size of batches that are planned, Is it possible for pixologic to roughly approximate how long (days or weeks) I would have to wait for the upgrade?

I just had a look at the form, what is the “Contact Number”?
What form should I be filling out?
I bought Zbrush 3 for Windows with the agreement I could exchange it for Zbrush 3 for OS X (when released). I am unsure EXACTLY what form I should be filling out.
EDIT: Well I’m not going to be left behind! I filled out the only form I could find, the one to upgrade to zbrush 3.12 for OS X. And filled in the notes to my specifics. I can’t wait to get it.
