i can’t imagine that Pixologic would separate the Siggraph news pertaining to its goings-on (hopefully early this week) and then make an additional announcement solely pertaining to ZBrush for Intel OS X later (Friday) and it being the same news. If that were the case, they would most likely consolidate the news and let users, mac and pc alike, gawk over the Siggraph presentation. to me, this all seems indicitive of an imminent (used loosely) release. 3.x brought with it support for software updates, and this is yet another reason i think we will see 3.x for os x before 3.5.
i think we’ll all be pleasantly surprised. Cheers to rational/educated optimism

And i just can´t figure my mind yet… What is more annoying? A) to bare the starving and the compulsion only creative needs can inflict or B) to be left alone in the dark.
The worst BS of this issue is that i had my z2 and i was in heaven, i sold my G5 and bought my intel and almost had an aneurism. i rapidly wrote to pix and got a kind answer like… We are sorry to inform you that bla bla bla and that is what happens to users who embrace recent technologies so fast and bla bla bla So i not just have to wait for next release (4.8 i guess) but i lost my purchased Z2 and ever since i have no ways to sculpt nothing.
If Dr. Evil is far to buisy writing code lines to port that beautifull app 24/7 then perhaps Minihim could write 2 lines… Starting by maybe… We are sorry… or we do care and bla bla… or we are making our best to bla bla.
Or even better: Behold mac users! God is speaking at you through the holy sede of vatixanologic and for the estoic patience you proved you are righteous owners for free upgrades through all your mortal life! :lol: :lol:
That way they could easily kill us from a heart stroke and they shall not even have to bother porting Z3 :lol:
Again, I hope you’re right. All that was said was “the announcement about Mac Intel will be made next Friday here on ZBC.” For some reason, my eyes read “Siggraph and ZBrush 3.5” instead of “Mac Intel”. So who knows…
I did the same but it does sound like it’s specifically for Mac Intel users, I daren’t get too hopeful though, maybe it’s just an explanation of what’s been going on for the last year! Fingers crossed though!
Hopeful is a bad thing in this situation. It’s better to just expect to wait until the end of the 4th quarter, like a 3rd string bench warmer wanting in a football game. That way, we’ll be amazed when Coach Aurick says “get your @$$ in there and show us what you can do” at any point before the last 3 minutes!
Yeah, and just maybe Coach Aurick will say,“Sorry kid. You’ve been cut from the team. Go clean out your locker. Maybe next year.”
All I know is I’m so tired of sitting it out while pc users are running down the field for touchdowns. I just can’t wait for Pixologic to toss me the ball.
An explination at least will be slightly satisfactory on friday, a confirmed and definate release date may be wishful thinking, a man can dream tho, a man can dream!
you know what, you guys that haven’t used the subtool system in ZB3.1 should be very happy! i’m struggling with some things that should be very intuitive and are just completely ridiculous! I really hope they fix it in 3.5.
First Siggraph, then right after siggraph, then to last week, then to begining of this week now not until friday. This is just this announcement not including all the previous missed dates.
