The culprit is of course OS X 10.4.11
You have to switch to Leopard
Hey Michel, have you got your upgrade yet?
YEEEEESSS I did
at last
but I’ve got a flu and I’m in bed all the time
Sorry to hear your not well Glad you finally got ZB3 though, it’s a blast! Get well soon!
Sincere apologies if this has been answered somewhere else. I simply couldn’t find any related posts.
I have the mac version up and running without a glitch so far, thanks to the zbrush team. However, I’ll have to go back to the PC version in the foreseeable future since I need the plugins. When will my PC license expire? Surely they won’t terminate it till all the Mac plugins are in place?
Thanks
If you need the PC version for reasons like the plugins (keep in mind that you can take models from 3.1 to 3.12 but not the other direction), then you can keep running it under the home use clause in the license. You’re able to have ZBrush installed on up to two computers, provided both copies aren’t actually used at the same time.
However, you won’t be able to reactivate the PC version. The only serial number that can be activated going forward is the Mac license.
Thank you aurick. Just to make sure that I understood what you said. As long as I don’t run my Mac and PC copy at the same time(and do not try to reactivate) I should be able to continue to us the PC version on my mac Parallel Desktop?
Is this where we post crash reports? Sorry I couldn’t see a sticky specifically for it.
I’m getting a repeatable crash related to masking (specifically, trying to drag a maks using the transpose system and also hitting the ‘Blur Mask’. It appears to be specific to the model I’ve imported because I don’t get it on Super Average Man.
Anyone have any solutions?
Thanks
Sav
Hi There,
I’ve some doubts about plugins for MAC version.
>> ZaapLink < is it in test ?>
>> Transpose Master
>> ZMapper
>> ImagePlane
Would you please update this questions for me?
Thanks a lot,
Beto Prado.
AT the top of the Questions and Troubleshooting forum there’s an announcement with the exact info that you need.
This has already been answered several times. Try doing a search for “plugins” posts within the last two weeks.
Ah yes oops
Thank again Aurick
Well crap. Thanks. I hadn’t seen any system requirements up until now. Looks like I’ll be plopping down some money this weekend.
8 5 0… you’ll like it! seriously, spending money always sux but 10.5.5 is worth upgrading to - zb aside.
Is there any more information as to when I could be expecting my second activation to come around? I didn’t want to push since I figured folks were busy, but it could add to my productivity for sure at this point…

Hi,
on a Quad Intel with 9 GB of RAM, and am wondering any way to bump the RAM allocation past the 4096MB limit of the sliderbar?
Thanks!
S
I’m curious about this too… i have 9 gigs in my system… i think the compact mem is set to 256 … is 4096 what i should crank it up to… or is that just the chunk sizes it makes… ?
Has anyone else been able to resize their document? I’m using a 12wx cintiq and would really like to make use of all my pixels since I have so few of them. I’m loosing around 1mp worth of image right now.
When I resize the document (I searched for resize document osx and got no matches) I get a chunky black completely bugged-out display.
Thanks for any feedback.
My understanding is that you can double what the default is. Everything else is black chunkies.
I have a 12wx as well as two other displays. I have not experienced any chunky black bugging out like you, but zbrush has crashed a couple times when resizing.
I find it is best to clear the canvas and then resize. I have resized by either hitting double or dragging the sliders and it works fine. Haven’t tried with the proportional button off yet though. Hope this helps.
