Mac OS X 3.12 Upgrade Support Center - Read Initial Post Before Posting

Just went back and tried again - now it works and ZB3 is running! :slight_smile:

:frowning:

Checked my junk filters and everything, but it’s not there. Funny, the original upgrade request (Case 49021) was responded to just fine back on September 2nd.

Hey! They missed me out. Thanks for the info Aurick

Email sent and awaiting upgrade.

drums fingers

we are in the same boat Kerwin.
i also had a response on Sept 2nd.
maybe all the Sept 2nd’s are screwed up?

Hey, Kerwin, My case number’s 49020, and I, too, got my reply on the 2nd of Sept.

Sent in a e-mail as per Aurick’s info (thanks dude!) and waiting on getting a reply.

Wonder if it was a curse on the Sept 2nd notifications? And just in time for Hallowe’en :evil: mwahhahaha

Hi Aurick,

I just went through the download process after going through the same errors as everyone else and finally got it up and running. Very happy about that.

But now, when I try to open and work on models created in ZB 3.1 and earlier, they don’t come in right. They look like simple squares. But squares which seem to tax my refresh rate. I think some of the polys are exploded to huge sizes, which might explain it.

Has anyone else come across this yet?

A little clarification on my previous post regarding the Edge Loop button. The edge loop button only seems to become active if the Ztool has at least 2 visible subtools in the subtool list. If there is only one visible subtool (or only one subtool layer), then the edge loop button remains inactive. If this is the way it’s supposed to work in Z3, then I’m darned if I know why.

But it DOES work.

My case no is 49056 and I too received my RSVP on the 2nd of sept…just sent my details off to support…just wondered if it’s a bunch of people with similar case no’s that are all still waiting?

OK, email sent to support now. All will be well.

My notification came on Sept 17 and I didn’t get an upgrade email either. So It’s not limited to Sept 2nd.

Maybe we could form a club, the 490hundred. Like the 4100, TV series, only we all just lost a year or so and are awaiting our very own super-powerZ

:lol: :rolleyes: :lol:

(just killing time, waiting and wondering…)

I sent my upgrade request on 9/14 (case 50231), so it’s not just 9/2 people that haven’t received anything.

hey my case # is Case 49060
maybe its a case of all those under a certain # not getting notified?

Here’s another view of a tool loaded which was ā€œconverted from an older formatā€ in ZBrush. It definitely looks exploded. I can’t seem to get any of my previous ZTool models to work.

Oh well, looks like we’re in for a little bit more of a wait. I don’t know about a 4900 club mike, but a ā€œwhere’s my upgrade emailā€ club seems to have already formed…and we’re all here on this message board waiting… :rolleyes: .

I sent my application off on the 28th, and i haven’t received the upgrade email. Checked all folders etc…

i’m on a bt yahoo mail system - anyone else on this email too? perhaps bt yahoo is a problem here?

But also…is that is now? i have to wait for manual upgrade along with many others…are you going to try and batch dispatch the emails again or is that it we just have to wait?

My case is 49069 and I received confirmation on 2nd September.

Haven’t had any further communication from pix, but I wait in hope

I, too, received an email without the key attachment, apparently. And the Safari/Firefox solution did not show the attachment either.
So, in Apple Mail, I switched the view to Raw Source, and saw that there was a Mime Part. It just was not being recognized as an attachment.

However, in the Apple Mail File Menu, I selected Save Attachment, and it saved the key file and works just fine. But the email was first CLOSED, and selected in the Mail Message Viewer window.

So anybody having Mime attachment problems, try this Save Attachment tip before pestering poor Mathew. :wink:

Edit;

Since this is a viable solution; let me be more specific;

If your activation key email appears in the Apple Mail Message Viewer window and shows the little paper-clip icon, yet when you open the email there is no attachment (no blue Save or Quick Look buttons or attachment line), then try this;

  1. Close the email window.
  2. Make sure it is selected (highlighted) in the Message Viewer list.
  3. Go to the File menu and select Save Attachments…
  4. The Save As dialog appears. Do not rename the file! Just choose a save-to location and click the Save button.
  5. Drag this .zsc file into your ZbrushOSX 3.12 installation folder.
  6. Let the system overwrite the old (temporary) key file.
  7. Fire up Zbrush and Enjoy!

If this doesn’t work AND the web browser email retrieval method also fails, then go ahead and contact support.

My case number is 50086, got my rsvp on the 12th and i havent receieved my upgrade email yet either - maybe tomorrow:-)
