Mac OS X 3.12 Upgrade Support Center - Read Initial Post Before Posting

WRONG!

How can you be consumed with a product that you don’t even have. A product that the company proclaims is “Available Now” but does not deliver!

Maybe I’m angry because I paid money on the promise it would be available on Sep 29 and it is now Oct 2.

FedEx built an hugely successful business with a simple concept:

“Waiting is frustrating, demoralizing, agonizing, aggravating, annoying, time consuming and incredibly expensive.”

That was in 1985. Apparently not everyone got the memo.

YEAH! Another one up and running! It’s SWEET! Good luck to you guys!

Well, I got through the activation, the program is running, and it looks great. I got an email from support within a couple of minutes, but they failed to include the license file. It looks like an automated response, as I’m sure a lot of this process is automated, or they’d like it automated. The devil is in the details though.

Aurick,
Does the system have a relatively quick way of counting the numbers of people who have and haven’t received the email yet? And if it doesn’t, is there an estimate of about what percentage has received them so far?

Thanks

I think you make some valid points. It’s just hard for many of us to not get frustrated after such a long wait, to be so close, and run into these little snags that keep ZBrush just out of our reach. Hopefully, the bugs will all be worked out soon, and Pixologic will be able to avoid them the next time they upgrade ZBrush. There are some mac users who are enjoying their copy right now, but haven’t really had that much time to fully play with it yet, because many of them had to go through the same kinds of glitches that others are experiencing right now. They did finally get their copy, and everyone else will too. So, even though it’s very frustrating, try to be patient a little longer, give aurick a chance to deal with the situation, and this will all finally be behind you, and you can start making those glorious ZDoilies, or whatever your into.

Good 3dj, now get the hell out of the line!

z doilies rule! :+1:

its aliiiiiiive  thank you so much and good luck to the rest of you

I’m sure there are many others out there (myself included) who are having the same problems, but are using this thread to monitor the situation and get further instructions. Not chiming in because I have no useful additional information to contribute.

I got my attachment by not using Safari, but a Web Based Email reader for my account.

Aurick:
Your info in the first post says if we have this problem to run the Web Activation a 2nd time and request to re-send the lic file.

How do you run the Activation a 2nd time, do I have to re-install?

I’ve been waiting patiently, but still haven’t received my initial email. I filled out the upgrade form on the 29th of August and got my RSVP on September 2nd.

Are the automated emails still going out? Or should I be contacting support?

I could be totally wrong, but I believe you just need to close ZBrush, and start it up again, and it will take you through the process all over again. Hope that works for you. Sorry, if that info is incorrect.

I’ve done that a few times, even restarted my Mac since installation.
It runs as all is good. I guess I will just let it go until when/if it stops working

Oh, well. I guess I’ll just leave the troubleshooting to the experts, and just stick to my expertise: ZDOILIES!! Oh, yeah!

Some people wondering why other buyers are not replying much on the forum, well I’ve only really started putting messages on the forum today, but I see nothing productive in clogging up this particular section with comments about,“I haven’t received mine yet”(ironically as I hit ‘submit reply’)

I’ll give Pixo a bit of time to try & sort things out, if it goes into the weekend I shall then be asking what is going on.

…and you shall not be receiving a reply… since they aren’t open on weekends. :stuck_out_tongue:

I received my rsvp on sept 2nd too Wilf82. Not sure whats going on. I’m guessing my email is stuck in a random batch somewhere on the cleverbridge server awaiting it’s slot to be sent out to me…or is this just wishfull thinking? I don’t want to hassle support at either cleverbridge or pixo…they’ve got enough on their plates at the moment by the sound of things. Although if you read this Aurick, could you please advise if we should be contacting support?

I suggest that Pixo burn that particular “bridge”, and never look back. Find another fullfillment house, maybe?

Although my copy is up and running, and no, I also had no attachment of the license in my email because I Web activated, let me explain the anger:

There are two types of people in the world. 1. The sheep who allow themselves to be bullied, lied to, use, etc.

  1. Wolves, who eat the sheep.

Some of us on these boards have been the wolves, pointing fingers, expressing what many were afraid to say due to some illogical fear that they might tick Pixologic off and have them cancel the application.

Have my posts been filled with outrage and bitterness? You bet they have. But Pixologic and Cleverbridge needed someone (several someones) to kick them in their nads and to tell them that this is unacceptable. Someone needed to tell them that this is NOT how you treat customers who are now over a year behind in skill, as compared to our PC counterparts.

How many posts have said things like, “Aww shucks, I’m sure they are trying their darndest to get it to us.”

Really, after several HUNDRED days you were still so optomistic and sheepish? I feel zero shame for lambasting these people and would publicly flog them if I could. I demand an apology.

I’m always hungry for sheep.

Now you’ll excuse me. I have to Zbrush an illustration of me kicking Pixologic in their nads. Hard.

I had the ‘email address does not match’ error on attempting the activation, so I followed the instructions on page 1 of the thread. I waited a bit and tried the web activation again, and sure enough it worked.

Hope this is reassurance that the problem is slowly being worked out.
