Believe me Darren old chum,
I’ve seen how Pixo work first hand and they bust a gut to ship when they promise to ship, and I am certain they could have shipped on the last day of Sept. if that was their no.1 priority, but it ISN’T
They won’t ship unfinished code like most other companies just to look good, they have a bunch of people working all over the world to bash the code into the ground trying to make it crash, and looking for ways to make it better. If they find a bug on the day before release they will fix it rather than ship just to look good and keep a few malcontents happy. Have you not noticed how ridiculously stable ZBrush is for such a stupendously intricate and sophisticated piece of code? Sure bugs will turn up when a million people are testing instead of a hundred, but they are few, small, and fixed quickly.
It buggers me how people can whine about a free update being a few days late! And WHAT a free update it is!!! You’ve SEEN what ZSpheres2 alone can do, do you thing something like that writes itself? I promise you, the guys at Pixo are a WHOLE LOT more bummed than you about missing a deadline! How much of your day do YOU spend worrying about it? But they would rather deal with a few poodle-spankers bitching than release a product that doesn’t work.
I assure you I want 3.5 at LEAST as much as you do, but I know they are working their butts off to get it to me, and not have it make my machine explode. They care about their product and about their people - just look how much free stuff is on offer here and at the Pixo website!
Microsoft and Apple get ten times more money out of us and it is usually late AND full of bugs, and guess what, they don’t even READ whining posts like yours!
Sorry mate, but like I said, once you’ve seen how these guys work and how much they care about their product and the experience it provides, you’d never bitch about something being a bit late!
Rant over!
